I don't know which Thursday night you were thinking about, but I stopped going to Venus on Thursdays after Debo and Tym took Culture next door to Axis. I think that was around 1994, when the world was just being introduced to Netscape 1.22

Venus predates the Internet!

Occasionally, I worry that I'll pass Lansdowne Street when I'm seventy and I'll struggle to remember what used to exist out there.

I don't if I ever even went on a Thursday, but WFNX (at least) used to run a commercial over and over again in the early 90s that consisted mostly of the phrases 'venus de milo' 'THUHSDAY NOIT!!' 'venus de milo' 'THUHSDAY NOIT!!' over a thumping beat.

It is crazy how much Landsdowne street has turned over.
