i came to this journal to find out what kind of person could have been so cruel about the expressions another makes in a livejournal. i have to say that you are a very talented writer. i don't always read everyone's stuff through and through, but that's neither here nor there. for someone who writes so well, surely you understand the feeling you get inside after you get whatever words and prose out of your head. please try to remember that feeling the next time you feel it necessary to belittle someone else's self-expression of art. that's like calling a picasso nothing more than a damned mess or a monet little more than a bunch of dots. enjoy your day.
No it's not like calling Picasso nothing more than a damned mess or a Monet little more than a bunch of dots. That girl posted her poem in a community that encourages criticism. She was unsatisfied with my general criticism of her work so I ripped into the poem pretty hard by analyzing only a few of the lines that ruined her poem. It's more like going over Geurnica with a magnifying glass, and even then, Geurnica is a good painting whereas that poem I commented on was not good at all.
that's the thing about criticism... when it comes to someone else's art, it's just an opinion. you know what they say about opinions and assholes, right?
