i think its funny that while discussing my agnostic faith with my uninformed christian stepfather, he was the one to become irate and angry, while i was remaining completely civil and peaceful while arguing my points.
if you werent at least slightly ignorant, you would see some irony in the fact that he claims to practice the christian faith, which happens to promote love and peace between people, yet cant discuss a serious topic in a civil manner. this is mainly due to the fact that his son who is currently dealing with schizophrenia and very strongly practices his religion. good thing you knew the story before you jumped to this conclusion. and so you know, i had not a single sarcastic remark for him, only my feelings and beliefs. as my "friend", i find your response is pretty disrespectful.
Wasn't somehwere where I could dignify that with a response, but the Challenge meant I dont for a second believe that you...
A. Didnt use sarcasm in an argument.
or
B. Didnt talk down to your dad.
That's just not how you work. I lived with you I know this...it was hard to go a half an hour without a sarcastic remark. In an argument that tends to heat things up. And I did understand what you meant by it, I've been in a similar argument and broght that same thing up when I got yelled at.
If it's any consolation in regards to the earlier comments on here, I laughed out loud when I read this post. And well, that's because I understood what you meant. That's just the typical human interaction piece.
Hey dfish, remember being downtown and talking to that woman who was sitting back and relaxed with her foot up, sipping on a corona? Remember when she asked if her foot was broken or something? and remember when I called you when you were two feet away and made you pretend to be a doctor? remember she believed us? remember when we were actually nice and funny and kind of cruel? now we're just cruel.
