Do you ever think that some people are just meant to be bachelors/bachelorettes their entire life? I mean, what is the meaning in life if you don't get married, have kids, work, retire, etc.. etc..
You can do all those things without being married. Love does not have to involve marriage. Even if you don't ever fall in love, you could pursue your life's work instead. I don't personally think that life is complete without love, but there are some who would feel perfectly complete without ever falling in love.
I didn't know you had to be married to work. I've been wasting all these years at this damn job. :)
I always said that I was going to retire pretty early to a beach house in Mexico where my money goes further and spend the rest of my days surfing. I envision it a choice of being single as I doubt there are too many ladies into that plan. The older I get though the more I realize that I'm gonna want more.
Do whatever makes you happy be it single or married. If you're happy the rest tends to fade into the background.
Uh, what were we talking about again?
PS. There is far more to life than kids, marriage, and work though I'm not sure how to get around the working part. Many people are really into that sort of stuff though where it defines their life, but by no means everyone.

I don't think if I don't get married that my life has no meaning! That is my choice!
I know that kids are a priority for me and they will bring some meaning to my life whether I have them married or single or adopt.
But as a whole I don't think the meaning of life is based on if I stay single or get married.
For each person it's different.
