hump day.
gotta love it.
especially when you don't have to go to class.
YES.
i turned in my last assignment/final via internet this morning. i'm officially finished with my last class. crazy. karen is supposed to talk to our boss about my student teaching sometime this week. she said that she has three options that she is going to give him. two of which keep me on in some form with the company through the three months i won't be able to work full time. i'm hoping that things will swing in my favor there. if they don't, i'm sure something else will in the future so i'll deal with it as it comes.
i also dropped $1300 on my tuition. not even half. sigh. i've got a lump that i will have to pay before march 25th but should be able to scrape it together before i run out of paychecks if that is the outcome of karen's meeting. the semester did come in a bit less than i expected but it's still a considerable stack of dough. i'm ready to have everything wrapped up and a teaching certificate in my hot little hands. i'll be glad to be finished and have the option to teach if i can find a job doing so. of course, now i'm thinking about how long i will need to work before i can seriously consider the literary studies master's program at utd...
my cousin had her twins last week. aren't the PRETTY? alexander and abigail. my dad will be up there this weekend and should get to see them. i love squishy babies so i'm totally jealous!
speaking of babies...
my sister's best friend's son is in the hospital. he has been in icu. they have given him all kinds of tests including a bone marrow biopsy. four doctors have been called in to give his diagnosis. we heard yesterday that the marrow biopsy results should come in today and that all doctors feel that he has leukemia. he is three years old and his mom is 8 months pregnant. she and her husband are in pieces. gentry, the three year old, after diagnosis, if leukemia is the culprit, will be put on chemo as soon as he is stable b/c he is so incredibly sick right now. please keep their family in your prayers as often as possible. i am worrying about them.
now for much needed comic relief...
my mom has a little elf that she sits on the lower branches of the christmas tree. well...he has disappeared. he has been missing for three days now. we can't find him ANYWHERE! we figure that one of the cats has run off with him. this morning we got our first clue...a bright blue tiny elf sized christmas ball lying in the middle of my bedroom floor with a bit of tree still stuck to it! so...either one of my cats is the elf napper or my parents' cat is trying to set them up by leaving a clue in my room! the search for the christmas elf continues!
hope everyone has had a good start to their week.
i'm ready for this week to be over already. work is a beating these days!
