2 is sort of bittersweet. Distancing for all the wrong reasons maybe?

...POSSIBLY? I mean, it's both for genuine and wrong reasons. He's afraid that if he gets close and then Cyril pulls him under his control again (or tries to, idk), that Cyril will hurt other people in order to get him under the Noah's control again. And he doesn't want that to happen! He would rather that he himself would be sacrificed then anyone else, mostly because he himself believes that he doesn't really have a large value as a human being besides being expendable in time of war. He's also subconsciously afraid of getting close to people because what if they discover what happened? That would be bad, mainly humiliating, and this makes him very, very afraid. He doesn't enjoy being humiliated, and then they would probably hate him, because why wouldn't they hate him after all that? Everyone that he got close to would be disgusted with him, and he is genuinely afraid of this occurring. So yes, both right and wrong reasons, but not necessarily all wrong
