[When Miranda work up this morning she was alarmed to feel something else on her bed with her, something different than her little dog. With a small yelp she shoved it away and sprang up to see what it was... It was just a box. A colorful looking box... She had gotten a gift like this last year on her birthday, but it was placed on the floor, not the bed. She cocked her head and bent down to pick up the box and place it in her lap.
It was light... Very light... She looked it over. It had nothing on it to say who it was from... Only a single note at the top that said "Stop being ashamed."... Even Miranda had no idea what that meant. Slowly and carefully she lifted the lid on the box. Reaching her hands inside she pulled out something she's never felt before wrapped up in colorful tissue paper. It was purple and black... Made from... something strange... It took a few seconds for her to register what it was... And it made her eyes widen. It was a
wetsuit. The perfect thing Miranda would need to finally swim without being afraid of others seeing the scars that covered her back.
She screamed with glee, leaped out of bed and launched herself out of her bedroom without even changing out of her nightgown. She ran through the halls holding up the wetsuit like a waving flag. This was going to be a wonderful 28th birthday.]
I can do it! I can finally do it! I can swim! I can do it now!
