[This carries on for at least ten minutes until Madarao finally stops and turns to look right at her, inclining his head slightly in an unspoken 'yes?']

[Tilts her head to the side and smiles in the same infuriating way most Bookman do.] Don't mind me, yeah? Tryin to figure out where I've seen you before.

[Formally, but not cold or dismissive, just stating a fact:] You must have mistaken me for someone else. I am not of your world.

[There's a brief flicker of confusion at the mention of "Kanda Yu" seeing as she knows him only as Alma Karma, or just...Karma. But then she recalls her adopted brother, the name he goes by in most worlds.]

Might be, I dunno. Haven't seen him in a long while. [Remembering that her "brother" spoke of a Crow that wasn't Link following him around.] Though I think I know tha one you're talking about. [Glances at the yellow Tease that finally catches up with her and lands in her hair like a bow.]

[Back in Madarao's world, his... Association with Kanda Yu leaves no room for 'might bes' and 'I dunnos', but that doesn't seem to be the case in most other worlds. Strange, and another reminder that he should be careful of the things he says here, out of concern for his charge's safety and his own.]

Oh? [His eyes track the Tease in the manner of one who wishes to pin it to the wall right now, but he refrains.] What makes you think so?

[And Mattias knows enough to keep this Crow far away from his charge if she can. And so she pulls a slip of paper from her pocket and writes something on it, a warning that Madarao is here now, and begins to fold it into a paper star.]

That you're from the same world as him? [...Yeah, don't do that. Unless you want a very pissed Noah charging up in this here thread.] We're close, I like ta think.

[Staaaaaaaring at that slip of paper like he can see what's on the other side if he glares hard enough, but luckily, her last remark distracts him. Close? Kanda Yu, whose only two moods are sword-happy and not sword-happy, is close to someone?]

He prob'bly wouldn't call it that. [Tease on its way she walks toward him, hands now clasped behind her back. While 'Tias isn't wearing the Exorcist uniform, she does have the hammer on her person. Preferring instead her sundresses with shorts underneath.] But I like to imagine we're friends. [Rather protective over her, he is.]

[Staring. So. Hard. After the Tease. It's concerning to find out his charge ― if they're even talking about the same man here ― is close to someone who has Tease doing her bidding, and when she approaches, he turns that wary gaze on her instead.]

Then I assume you are aware that he is supposed to be under my supervision at all times. Would you happen to know where he is?

[She'd stop him if he went after it, but won't hesitate in telling him it's not hers, merely a watchdog like Madarao himself.]

Might've mentioned it. But Kanda's not one ta tell even me where he might be all hours of the day. [Smiles as she stops a few feet in front of him.] Sorry. [Not that she'd tell him anyway.]

[There follows a long, awkward stretch of silence, during which he merely stares at her. Her answer does make sense though, so he eventually acquiesces with a simple nod.]

It is quite alright, Bookman Junior [assuming that's what she is], as I am the one at fault for losing sight of him. I apologise for taking up your time.

No need to apologize, yeah? This place has a whole bunch o'copies of him for you to follow around until ya find him at any rate.
