Ah...

[ there's a girl padding down the halls of the DR, looking (and feeling) fairly lost.  Her shoulders hunched forward, she looks side to side rather sheepishly, rubbing the back of her head with a gloved hand.  In her other hand (also gloved), she holds a crumpled map of a maze.

She glances back down at it and then up again as she finally ( Read more... )

Left or right it doesn't really much matter which way you go in here~ It's all the same~ Place turns you the way you don't want to go~

[ that takes her by surprise, causing her stop to look over at Joyd. ] Lavi? I thought you left...

[ and then the gray skin catches her attention. Cue confusion. ] You didn't go get spray tanned, did you?

[Tucking his hands behind his head.] I'm forever getting mistaken for Booky, I've got to say it's starting to get on my nerves.

Then again I'm hardly going to start wearing a name-tag~ [Grins] Not a tan, missy~ Odd sort of colors, don't you think?

Booky? Ah, well, sorry then. I didn't mean to irritate you.

I've never met anyone whose skin is gray, yeah. [ and this is confusing her, so she'll be glancing around at her surroundings, then back down at the map again. ] Are we still in the museum?

Oh, it's fine, it's fine~ [Waves it off as if it's no big deal, but the skin color should tell them he's someone else, right?]

Lots of people like that here, should get used to it if you keep wandering the halls like you are. [And while she's doing that he's taking a few steps closer.] Museum? Heh, can't say that we are. I was in China if you can believe it.

I'm sure I'll manage to, if there're really as many as you say there are. [ notices Joyd moving closer, but doesn't move away, though she eyes him warily from the corner of her eye. ] China? Then how are you here?

Of course there are, even versions of yourself. Male. Older or younger. Really quite funny, actually. [Looking her over, not in a way that would be read as checking her out but more of a curious one. Oddest clothes.]

Mmmm, million dollar question, that. No one knows what pulls us here.

...excuse me? [ because her world may be crazy, but she hasn't ever heard anything about real-life alternate versions. Have a disbelieving look.

Self-conciously pulls her arms loosely around her middle as he looks her over. She knows he isn't checking her out or anything, but it still makes her uncomfortable. ] And where is 'here,' exactly?

[Holding out a pamphlet that looks like it's been stepped on a few times.] No longer home, missy, I've just been told it's called the Dressing Room. Not sure where it is~

[ takes it, giving a strange look to Joyd. Was it stepped on? ] Is there any way to get back?

[He picked it up off the floor. Figured it would be a good idea to carry it around with him.]

If there was do you think I'd be here? I have things to do at home. [Lighting up a cigarette.]

[ nice welcome gift, too.

have a small frown. ] It's only common sense to ask. [ tilts her head slightly. Even if you aren't Lavi, you sure look a lot like him. ] What is your name, anyway?

[He'll want that back, by the way.]

Well, you can make a door, make an Ark door even, and it won't matter very much.

[Smirks and bows with a flourish~] Joyd, Noah of Pleasure. You already know my host, Lavi. Sound asleep he is.

[ but she might need it! Help a girl out, won't you? ]

An Ark door?

[ She couldn't understand a lot of that lingo, but once Joyd says 'host,' her expression immediately turns towards alarmed. Whatever a Noah is, whatever Joyd means, it doesn't sound good. ] ...I don't understand. What do you mean, host? Noah?

[:| No. Don't want to.]

Never mind, yeah? [Okay, so not one like the others. And her clothes are different so a different time. Piecing things together~]

It's all a part of being here, you get to learn what it all means~

[ be a man, Joyd. Learn to part with your ol' beaten-up pamphlet.

Still rather alarmed, but not going to be volatile until she's absolutely sure he's an enemy and not just some crackpot. At least she knows now that he is somehow related to Lavi. ] Yes, but I'd rather learn now to save me the trouble.
