[The selected few will hear a Rhode's laughter echoing down the hall sometime during the day. She sounds delighted in an evil sort of way, a tone that continues when she speaks:]
Tradition gathered from afar,
Tradition changing those that are,
Normal, yes, to stories old.
Bind them long until the story's told.
Rhode laughs again and
those that

A sigh. The man took his cigarette from his lips, flicking the ashes off at the edge of the lake. Eh, at least the moon was full tonight so he'd have plenty of light to wander around under and time to be left to his thoughts.]

Time for the old to be replaced by the young~ I'll even cut my hair for you. I won't even mind if you call me his name. Marry me and we'll live a happy life ruling our kingdom... and by that, I mean Neah's kingdom, of course. [The wizard always got what he wanted. This time it will be no different.]

[The other turned away, looking to the lake almost wishing the moon would set so he wouldn't have to listen to Tyki any longer. He hardly looked like Nea, having seen the prince every summer since infancy, Cross knew every little thing that made Nea Nea. Tyki just shared a few similarities with the prince. Besides... It was that vain, spoiled prince that Cross had unfortunately fallen in love with over the years.]

You know, maybe telling me a good reason why would be a great way to help me get the idea through. [No. Not really. He's not one to take no for an answer. He's just curious. A wizard is all for knowledge and all.]
Is it his face? His haughty disposition? The way he sits on his mighty stead?
Reply
You're arrogant, a pest, a pig, bothersome and, your magic is lame.
[Seriously Tyki, you make those who know the art of sorcery look bad right now. I mean a swan? Couldn't come up with anything better for him?]
It's what he has inside that makes him special to me. And no. Not his innards which you want all over the ground. Nea's heart and soul.

Ouch. Your insults are so lame. I think I'll go cry somewhere now. [Contrary to his words, Tyki's advancing on his captive and backing the taller man into the wall. You obviously haven't seen an enraged swan before. Seriously Marian, those things will take off your head. The wizard thinks it's a rather fitting creature for someone like you~]
You're pretty good at guessing what I'm thinking on the inside. Do you think this is some kind of fairy tale though? Heart and soul? The hell are those? If I can't touch it, then it's not of this world. You know what they call things not of this world? Imaginary.
[He takes the chance to snatch off the redhead's glasses and slip it on his own face; he calls claim on these from now on.] Say, do you think Neah likes the feeling inside you?

It wasn't an insult. I was stating the truth.
[Cross backed up a bit further with each step the man made in an attempt closer to him. As his back hit stone, the princess general gave a growl, daring the shorter man to try something else or back up. No, he had plenty of fun times with swans as a child, he and Mana had to rescue Nea from one in a park one day. So much fun was had by all.]
They're these little things called feelings you blithering fool.
[An indignant sound comes from the man when his glasses were snatched, causing Cross to put a hand up to his mask to keep it in place, trying to grab his glasses back. They served a purpose damn it!]
What the hell do you mean by that?

Your truth, not mine. [Oh joy, but he didn't have such fun as a child. Maybe that's why he ended up being the bad guy. Oh well. He'll have all the fun in the world once he becomes king or god or whatever. Why is he even trying to marry Cross Marian. Why doesn't he just magic everything to be his? Oh yea, the Game.]
Ha ha. I know what feelings are. I'm a wizard, not an alien! [In my opinion, they're quite big actually.] But love and soul... those are just your perception.
[Maybe he should take that mask too then. He always wondered what was underneath that... but that's for another time. Tyki's going to put the glasses to good use. Later later~ He backs away and out of reach.]
You know... You say you love Neah's soul, but does he love your soul and heart. [Seriously? Heart and soul? So cheesy.]

[Yes, nothing like saving your intended from a crazed bird to show how to have a good time on vacation. Honestly, he'd like you more if you'd just magic everything your way rather then try to marry him. Tradition or not. It's just not something he feels like dealing with right now.
What's under said mask is a bunch of cursed things and bad memories. Please leave it on his face if you want any points in your favor, Tyki. Cross moved forward, trying again to grab his glasses from the younger man.]
I don't know. He finds me attractive but he has never commented on anything else he likes about me.

Ah yes. The fight you two were having before I "rescued" you. [He listened to most of it.] My heart cries for you. Remember, the spell can only be broken by me or everlasting true love, yet you don't even know if he loves you. If you knew how I am inside, would you come to love me also? Marry me and maybe what's inside you will become special to me likewise. I will come again tomorrow to ask you the same question. And the next day and the next day, until you say yes. [If Marian wants to be a romantic, he can very well be a charmer.]
Good night. I'll leave you to your swimming~ [He does not wait for answers and is gone with the flurry of wings. Let the Princess stew in his own, hopefully conflicting, thoughts for a while.]

You killed my father when you "rescued" me. Right now, Nea is still doing better then you in having my affections. Why are you so intent on this? I don't want to marry you. Just let me live out my days like this and move on.
[The man watched as Tyki left, letting out a heavy sigh he hadn't even known he had been holding back. He flicked his cigarette to the ground, grinding it out with the heal of his boot as he started on his nightly walk around the lake.]

Having fun?

I was, but you just interrupted the bullfrogs' ballet. Scared them off into the water, every single last one. Spent all my money on those tickets, too.

I hate to break it to you little red, but you have no money right now.
[Another shift and the man was moving to sit on the ground along side Lavi, hands resting on his knees once he sat.]

[Tilts his head slightly, looking at Cross.] But "little red"? Really?
