[Well, there's another Kanda walking the hallways, but he seems somehow...more stoic than most. he's wearing a strange shirt and black pants.]

[Hold the phone, are his ears pointed?]

...Fascinating. I could have sworn such a place did not exist on the Enterprise.

[the Enterprise? Oh, no way did he hear that right. Still, Allen's intrigued, and he stops, tilting his head a bit] Kanda?

...? Captain Walker?

[Kanda tilts his head, noticing the blindness in this one's eyes, and how the hair isn't quite the right color.]

Ah. My apologies. I mistook you for someone else.

[Captain Walker? Captain? Oh, his inner fanboy is so giddy right now. So very, very giddy.]

Yeah, that'll happen a lot in this place. Um... did you just get here?

I did. I take it you have been here awhile?

[Well. Who else would have the gall to recklessly jump into every possible dangerous situation with an entire crew backing him up?]

[Point taken! He nods] A few weeks, plus I'd been here before. I know the place fairly well.

I see. Fascinating... You say that you've been here before; how did that happen, and why did you come back?

That, I don't know. This place just... takes people whenever it chooses, no real rhyme or reason behind it, at least not that anyone here has been able to figure out.

...It sounds almost like it's a sentient being, drawing those it finds interesting into its halls.

[He wouldn't put it past it...]

[smiles!] I've thought it seems kind of like that, too. There's no way to influence it that anyone's found.

Then this is probably the best conclusion to draw for now.

[Kanda crosses his arms and sighs.]

Do you... um, have a room yet?

No. I had not expected to be here for long.

[Ah, well...]

Well, if you want, I could help you find one.

[serenelogic]

That would be most kind of you.

Okay. [bright smile] The North Wing is safe, the South is dangerous, so don't go too far south. My room is in a fairly out of the way spot, there are plenty of empty ones nearby, so you can pick. You'll be able to find anything you need or want in the storage rooms here, too. [leading Kanda along as he talks]

Curious. Where do these things come from?
