[It's a wonderful time for a walk, isn't it? Down a surprisingly quiet hallway, no less. It's as if all the people who ought to be here have just...wandered away. The floor here creaks, and it's almost impossible to walk silently on it

[A surprisingly quiet hallway, if not for the creaking floor and niggling feeling that it won't remain as peaceful as it seems for long. Lenalee moves with slow, painstaking steps, her eyes fixed on the floor as if expecting to see something out of place. Eventually, she does, thank you, Cyril. Stops several paces short of the stairwell, heart giving a little squeeze, but after Rhode's demonstration last week and a more recent encounter with one Noah-hallucinating Allen... she can't find it in herself to dredge up more than a sympathetic wince at the morbid positions the corpses have been warped into.]

Will you let me pass?

Ah ~ Miss Lenalee Lee. You look so very cute today! I can see why Road enjoyed playing with you. But as for whether I'll let you pass...I'm feeling fickle at the moment. I must insist on detaining you for a while.

[No shocked exclamations about the corpses strewn around here? He's a little impressed by that. What a focused young lady this must be.]

[The bodies don't belong to anyone important to her. It's unfortunate they had to come to such an end, but... they'll come back. At Cyril's, ah, compliment, she squares her jaw. His daughter is a touchy subject right now. She isn't about to go breaking the thin ice she's treading on, however, so Lenalee nods curtly.]

Fine. For how long?

Ah, nobody cares about such obvious little mistakes, anyway. <3

Let's have a little chat ~ and then, perhaps, you can go on your way. I'm waiting for someone else, but this is a lovely chance to fill in time, yes? Those people there were so dull that they weren't worth talking to.

[She snaps her gaze up from the floor, a little more sharpish than she'd intended. Casually placed though it was, she heard that 'perhaps', and regardless of whether or not he meant anything by it, it still makes her tense up just beneath the skin.]

I'll do my best to be interesting, then. What would you prefer we talk about?

[He does pause for a moment, considering that, but then with an Ah! he seems to decide.]

Let's talk about...Allen Walker. You know him, don't you?

[The way her hands twitch at her sides should be enough of an answer. Levelly:] What about Allen?

I've heard some - interesting things about that boy. And you're one of his friends, so you can fill me in on the details, I'm sure. Make sure it's thorough!

[Expression quite serious, he looks at her intently.]...I need to know about his love life.

[With such a build up, suffice to say she'd been expecting a question much more... sinister in nature. Or something that didn't make him sound like a busybody trying to gain gossip from the street. She'd even begun to grit her teeth in anticipation of a question about his past, or his Innocence, or any weaknesses she might know of- but once he says that... the expression slips into one of complete bewilderment (and more than a little embarrassment).]

His... love life...?

[This is serious, serious business. Cyril's expression is quite grim.] Yes! His love life. I have heard terrible rumours about Allen Walker. Rumours about his intentions in regard to my beloved daughter! Well, I won't allow it. He's simply not good enough for her.

-What? With Rhode? [FLUSTER FLUSTER FLUSTER. But Rhode was the one who kissed him on the Ark, the one who liked him~. Perhaps a bit defensively:] No!

Precisely! I'm glad you agree; they're a terrible match. As if some grubby little Exorcist is good enough for my precious little girl. [He shakes his head.] Obviously, I need to make sure that those two stay as far apart as possible!

So tell me: is it true? Has that boy really set his sights on Road?

[Bristling slightly. "Grubby little Exorcist"?] No, it isn't true at all. Rhode is the one who is always making advances towards him, not the other way around.

What?! Road, making advances towards that boy? Impossible! I won't allow it! It's absolutely prohibited! To think of that boy so much as laying a single finger on my little angel...why, it makes me feel ill.

He's never laid a hand on her with any intent like that! [The mere idea makes her flush in mixed embarrassment and frustration. They certainly do appear to share, at the very least, a distaste to the idea as a whole.] Your angel forced herself upon him, the last I saw of her!

[THAT IS OBVIOUSLY A MISTAKE. Cyril is sure of it, though it does make him go red with anger.]

It can't have been the way it looked! But rest assured, if I see him troubling my little girl, I'll make sure he regrets it from the afterlife! So keep that boy away from her, if you value his life.
