Hmmm~ hmmm~ hmm~

[someone is busy at work in this hallway! there are fingerpaintings all over the wall, though who knows what they're really supposed to be. they just look like random shapes and swirls and things. Alma seems to be having a wonderful time, too, dipping his fingers into the bucket next to him and dragging his fingers along the wall

[Lavi doesn't see or smell the blood, he's walking down the hall with his hand against the wall. So when he first comes in contact with it his face screws up in a confused and sort of disgusted expression, can't say he was expecting to run into liquid on the wall.

Pulling his hand away to rub at his fingers, it's the only way he can try and figure out what it is. He's still under a sense lock-down with only touch registering.]

[oh, sorry about that, Lavi- but hey wait a second. you're messing up his painting. standing up and tilting his head... wait a second again, is he blind?]

[Sorry! Didn't really mean to, didn't know it was there. But the white Tease following him around seems to like it, landing on Lavi's fingers to get at it.

He does have that blank look in his eye, but he can't hear you either, Alma. Practically starts when the Tease lands on his hand until he calms down.]

[oh no. this isn't good. this poor Lavi can't see him or hear him. ... well, not that he's met a Lavi before, so he actually has no idea who you are. what to do?]

[brilliant idea. picking the bucket up and lightly taking Lavi's hand to dip it in and press it to the wall~ paint with me :D]

[Ahahahaha. And Lavi's in no condition to even tell him who he is. Or know how close he is to escaping some kind of danger.

Lavi starts again and tries to free his hand when Alma grabs it until it's in the bucket, then the wall. The idea of it dawns on him and he relaxes, apparently he's run into someone nice? He grins and starts trying to paint though it's horribly messy without his sight.]

[Alma's not dangerous! just whimsical. only Kandas should be afraid of him, and maybe Exorcists if he knows that the person is one, but that's still an outside chance.

a friend! a friend! :D :D :D :D :D :D happy Alma is happy. and back to smearing blood around. orz.]

[He doesn't think of any Alma as dangerous, he adores his own. But while he doesn't have Innocence on him, he does still have on the pants of his uniform. The coat always gets left somewhere.

Well, it is a fun substance to smear on the walls! Tease will even help as it noms on the blood. Lavi will try making a sunny scene with what he's got on his hand, Tyki's going to kill the redhead for this.]

[chances are his Alma is probably less nuts than this one? but at least this one's not outright dangerous without a reason. the pants don't really get a second glance, it doesn't matter to him. the Rose Cross is what he won't like, or Innocence. so far as he's concerned this is just a normal person.

watching as he paints with a smile~ and then painting again himself and going back to humming.]

[A bit. There's always that thin line. As normal as one can be being devoid of all of his senses anyway, right?

Lavi keeps painting so long as his hand is wet, fumbling around on the ground after crouching to find that "paint can". This is - sadly - the most relaxed/happiest he's been for the past week.]

[this one is glad to have helped! :D you have a friend now, person whose name he doesn't know... he's going to be calling you Red, in his own mind. until he learns your name. then he may keep calling you Red anyway.]

[Always happy to make new friends, he doesn't really have many here. >: Though he'll definitely try and get Alma from painting with blood once he can see again. It's not a paint that lingers long on the walls, not really. Red works, he's used to having different names.

But he found the bucket and renewed the "paint" on both hands, moving to draw more.]

[and suddenly another idea comes to him. he gently takes Lavi's hand and traces letters on the wall- hello?- and wonders if he'll be able to understand.]

[Lavi closes his eye to follow the motion of the letters, smiling softly. He moves his hand a little lower than that and writes 'hi' back to Alma.]

[success!! so he writes again. I'm Alma. not too much too fast, though- he has to give him time to process it. this is showing far more intelligence than he probably should have at this point, but he was a quick study as a kid. and again, what is your name?]

[There's a spark of recognition in his eye from the name and Lavi nods, writing out his name carefully with the blood.]

[so Lavi knows a version of himself- but probably the fuzzier, warmer, not-Akuma one. or one of them, he doesn't know if there's more than one Exorcist!him. I will call you Red, he writes. You'll know it's me.]
