[it's been hard for Lavi to really go out much since his experience with Cyril - the effects of that are long-lasting and even now he finds it difficult to be around people too much. But he's trying hard to get past that - and today, there's a couple of people he really wants to find

[It's still so hard to find the Lavi he knows but Allen can tell him apart now. The notepad is a dead giveaway.]

[He catches up to his friend, offering a friendly smile.]

Are you looking for something?

[write_silence]

[flinches when Allen calls his name, but when he turns to look at the other boy he's smiling, and flips his notepad open, not even slowing down as he quickly scrawls a reply and holds it out for Allen to read]

A couple people I wanted to see. You were one, actually.

[He reads the note, his smile not disappearing.]

Sure, what did you need me for? I haven't had much to do around here except for explore. I didn't find anything really interesting...

[He wrinkles his nose.]

Nothing worth keeping, anyway. A whole room full of garbage isn't something I'd expect in a place like this.

[write_silence]

[makes a face] You can expect to find almost anything here, really... maybe sometime I could show you some of the nicer places I've found.

[he's had plenty of time to do a lot of exploring of his own, after all]

[Allen smiles and nods.]

I think I'd like that. It's very strange here but I think I like it here more than I do back home. No school work can be a powerful motivator.

[He winks then tilts his head.]

So what can I help you with? I'm not doing anything important right now so I have plenty of spare time.

[write_silence]

[have a shy smile] I really just... wanted to talk for a bit. And just hang out, I guess. [social skills practice, go!]

[Allen gives Lavi a bright smile and nods.]

We don't get to do that too often. There's been so much studying to do lately that I'm starting to feel I'll wake up one day and write in nothing but math equations. Or even in history quotes.

[He shudders slightly.]

Is there anywhere we can go just to have fun? Not with computers or anything if you're not interested. Though I'd like to see if you're good at some arcade games.

[write_silence]

[blushes a bit] I don't have a lot of practice at that kind of thing, but... I could try? I think there's a movie theatre, too...

[it's kind of sad, really, the library is really the only place he goes to have fun >>]

Neither do I, really. I'm actually not that good at games but I like playing them. If we find some old machines, we could play some together.

[However, his eyes light up at the suggestion of a movie theatre.]

Really? I wonder what movies they have. There's got to be something we'd both like to watch.

[write_silence]

[movie theatre it is, then~ the games can come later. Lavi, of course, knows exactly where the theatre is, thanks to that memory of his, and he heads in that direction, making sure Allen is following]

[Allen's definitely following though he sometimes gets a rubber neck looking at all the different doors they pass. Some of them have already changed and there's a small symbol on one wall...]

I feel like I'm in a fun house at a carnival sometimes. The rooms change and there's so many strange things that come out of them.

[Lavi nods ruefully. He knows that feeling. Allen will get used to it... maybe. Lavi's still not entirely sure he has, and he's been here for some months now.]
