[enjoying your silence? well, don't let that rising, somewhat maniacal laughter interrupt you!
except it probably is doing just that.
should you go looking for the source of the sound, you'll find a Kanda(?) in a rather gaudy coat slumped over against a wall,
broadsword shoved into his chest and through the wall. by then the laughter will have

This...Kanda isn't familiar. But. Taking a step toward him anyway, eyes on that pooling blood.]
Kanda?

and even then it's just another low, muffled laugh, head hanging and hair coming out of its low ponytail.]

It's the laugh that gets Lavi over there, fully gloved hands grabbing the hilt of the sword and grabbing it, trying to tug it out without hurting him.]
Just hang on. I'll get you to an infirmary, Kanda.

..Who's-- [cough. grits his teeth, hands scrabbling at the sword's edge to try and help push it out of him. kind of futile, though, but at least he's conscious?]
Reply
It's Lavi. Don't worry, I'll get you out. [Giving it another yank and stumbles back, almost falling as he pulls the sword free. It's heavy and falls out of his hands, Lavi is right there to make sure he catches him before he hits the floor.]

Who's-- [cut off again as the sword comes out, choking back some sound from the pain of the blade dragging against the open wound. and when it's finally out, he's staying as straight as he possibly can, one hand clutching at the tattered edges of cloth as the wound starts healing itself, going gray momentarily.
when it's finally closed, all that's left is letting the skin itself knit together. he cracks an eye open and lets out another laugh.]
..Let me finish talking next time, would you?

It's the flash of gray that makes Lavi stiffen as he holds up the one he thinks is Kanda. It explains the suit, who else really would make Kanda wear one. Especially with the colors going every which way.
A strained look, his own hands tightly gripping that coat. He won't let the other know how upset this makes him. Nope.]
Whi-which one are you?
Reply
Lenalee combined with Komui threatening him not to make her cry. probably.
normally he'd complain about the coat getting dirty, but it's already somewhat bloodstained-- kinda like the rest of his torso. no use crying over dirt in spilled milk.]
Which? [nothing to hide; rakes his bangs up with one hand, leaving red streaks on graying skin and black crosses.] Take a wild guess.

Like he's going to contaminate it! He was just holding the hilt of the sword and his hands are still bandaged under the gloves from Innocence burns.
Lavi shakes his head, pulling away now that he's healed.] I'd rather not guess.

snorts, brushing his hair back into place and starting to stand up. it's a slow process with the lingering pain, but he can work through that.]
Why not? You can't possibly get it wrong.
Reply
Lavi would help but... Noah closeness and crystal Innocence...dnw.]
Thirteen ways to get it wrong before I get the right one.
Reply
meh, he can handle himself. won't be asking for any help, in any case.]
You're missing one. [holding a finger up to emphasize.]
Reply
Thirteen wrong answers plus one right one.
[But that gives you away, you know. Since they don't count Fourteenth among them anymore.
There's a flicker of anger in the eye Joyd is held in. Dwarfed perhaps by Lavi's if he could feel the Exorcist's rage.]
Why are you in Kanda, Fourteenth?
Reply
Bingo. [well, he isn't ashamed of who he is. not like he's hiding his identity or anything. no reason to do that.
eyes flickering to that eyepatch, crossing his arms over his chest.]
Is there somewhere else I should be?
Reply
Lavi's hand automatically drifts toward the empty holster, fingers twitching but there's no grab for it. Just reaching for the comfort of the old habit, he knows it's not there.]
You're usually in Allen.
Reply
Allen? Who's that? [--wait. processing, processing.. picking at his ponytail.] ..The one with the brown hair? I don't know him.
