[Lavi's sitting in a courtyard, carving into a pumpkin. There are other pumpkins around him, including a giant pumpkin that was right behind him. He lets out a small huff when he catches a few squirrels running behind the pumpkins.]

I doubt the pumpkins make good hiding spots. [The squirrel in front of him just tilts its head at the redhead.]

Glancing over at him, though.] Depending on what kind of little things they're doing.

[Allen smiles and moves to sit next to Lavi, arms wrapped around his legs.]

I suppose. But they're rather cute with their attempts to hide.

[Chuckles lightly.] You've got a point there.

I've always liked squirrels. They just don't like me anymore.

I'm a predator in their eyes.

[darkforsaken]

You don't seem like a predator to me.

[Smiles.] Thanks, Lavi. But my teeth aren't a decoration.

[Eyebrow raise, wondering if he should be wary. Then again, he feels at peace right now and the phoenix inside isn't bothering him. So:] And here I thought those were just part of a costume you're preparing for Halloween.

[He's not hungry either, that helps.]

No, I'm afraid they were actually a Christmas present.

I don't mind it, I've gotten over minding it.

You probably had a lot of time getting over it.

I guess. [A soft laugh] But it still surprises people.
