Post-holder [Stupid family dinners]

[There's a Lavi in one of the common rooms and really when is that anything new? Perhaps somewhat new is the tree he's decorating.

It's a large Colorado blue evergreen covered in blue and silver ornaments with a silver star up at the top. At its center a blue bulb shines though the rest of the tree is done in clear lights. Lavi picks up a bluebird

[Someone is going to pipe up behind Lavi right about... now.]

This looks great.

[Starts but then grins very widely, turning around to wrap her in a hug. He hasn't seen you in ages.]

Lenalee! [Pulls back a little to look at her with a light blush.] Ah, thanks...

It's been a while, hasn't it. [Long enough that she had to use the Tease as a reminder, although even it looks different than she remembers. So she'll be giving him a bit of a squeeze before letting him withdraw.] How long have you been at this?

[arebornstar]

[Tyki took the white one away and replaced it with a silver one, it's special - for Lavi alone. He smiles at her.]

A few hours, had to find a suitable tree that my Lenalee would approve of first. What about you? Do you like it? [Turning his head back to look at it.]

[The corners of her mouth twitch. A tree that a version of her would approve of?] I think it's lovely.

Good. [He grins.

His Lenalee would often beat him and Kanda to decorate it just so. All out of the holiday spirit, nothing harsh. Lavi...is missing her and Allen right now.]

[She wishes she could remember a time she had the chance to do something like that. The tree always seemed to go up while at least one of them were on a mission; they'd come back and it would already be finished.

But missing home world friends... that she can understand. It's hard, spending another Christmas without them.] Would you mind if I helped decorate?

[You get the chance now at least? :3 And at least here there was a chance that all four of them could work on the tree. Four plus more anyway.]

Not at all, yeah? Me and Tease would appreciate it.

Great. [She's going to start rummaging through the nearest box of ornaments, then, with poorly-disguised enthusiasm.]

[Hey, let that enthusiasm out! Everyone needs to let their inner kid out! Lavi points out good spots to her and so does Tease.]

I haven't seen you lately, been busy?

[Don't worry, it'll leak out in inches and then miles once she gets going. The first ornament gets hung at (her) shoulder height, and she spends a moment straightening it while contemplating her answer.] Fighting a war.

[Lavi is quiet for a little.] So you went home then?

[Hanging a blue and silver ball.] I'm sorry, it's chaotic there, isn't it?

Y-Yeah. [Trying to play it light, since the kinds of things that happened in her three months at home aren't exactly Christmas decorating fare. She digs a box of snow-capped acorn ornaments and busies herself with opening it.] Missions are almost constant lately, but we've been doing all right.

[Luckily he doesn't want specifics. He knows that home isn't exactly happy for him, much less anyone else.]

Good. I'm sorry that the me in your home is all tangled up in Noah-business.

[fallforthesky]

[Home is both a little happier and a little sadder than before, this time.] It's... fine. We've been tangled up in Noah-business since the Rewinding Town.

[She doesn't have the heart to tell him it's been three months.]

[A laugh.] Yeah, that's true. Made a right mess of things.

[Three months for her Lavi in the Noah clutches but at his home he's with Allen, Rhode, and Tyki.]
