Post-holder [Stupid family dinners]

[There's a Lavi in one of the common rooms and really when is that anything new? Perhaps somewhat new is the tree he's decorating.

It's a large Colorado blue evergreen covered in blue and silver ornaments with a silver star up at the top. At its center a blue bulb shines though the rest of the tree is done in clear lights. Lavi picks up a bluebird

[Someone is going to pipe up behind Lavi right about... now.]

This looks great.

[Makes a soft "oof" and rubs is side, picking up an ornament that looks like a white version of Allen's Crown Clown mask.]

Too well.

Then I imagine it was for a good reason. [She sounds as if she's having a hard time keeping the amusement from her voice. Up onto tiptoe to hang the ornament, and when she comes back around for another, she finds herself moving to hug Lavi instead- regardless of whether or not he's finished hanging his Crown Clown ornament.] I've missed you.

You just wanted us to help with the tree around this time of year.

[Blinks at suddenly being hugged, "Allen" got hung about his height's eye-level. 8D; Lavi smiles and wraps an arm around her, nose buried in her hair.] I've missed you, too. Felt really weird not having you around. [Not at all like home. And he does mean "you" in particular. You're the only Lenalee he's met.]

[Tangles her fingers in the back of his shirt, in an "I just want to hold you" sort of way, and mumbles a reply, though it's muffled by his clothes.]

[Lavi makes a surprised noise when he feels her latch on tighter but then relaxes in her hold and holds on as well. He doesn't mind this at all, he'd rather comfort her than need the comfort himself. Bringing up a hand to stroke her hair.]

I like your hair like this... It's pretty.

[Muffles another sound into his shirt; this time a watery laugh. It's not really a sad or desperate hug, just an "I really missed you" one. There aren't enough Lavis in her life here, and she's rather protective of this one.]

Thank you. It took me a long time to get it like this. [Back in hair ties.]

[There's always an opportunity to find more Lavis, I mean they pop up all the time in this place. Just throw a carrot somewhere.]

It suits Lenalee more than your long hair, I think.

[/throws a hundred carrots!!]

But I promised Anita I would grow it out again.

[/throws all her rabbits!!!]

No reason why you can't. That's just me, yeah?

Well, I think it'll still be a while before it gets that long again...

[Okay, she's going to pull back a little now, so things don't have a chance to get possibly awkward.]

[All she has to do is ask for them.]

However long you grow it out to I think she'll be proud of you, Lenalee.

[Manages to kiss her forehead before she pulls away.]

Come on, we've got a tree to finish.

[Blinking away the mental image of Anita's smile as they left the ship. She thinks part of the reason Anita made her promise to grow it out so long again was because it means surviving. The kiss to her forehead makes her hesitate, flushing a little. Rosy cheeks, rosy cheeks.] Sorry, I didn't mean to distract us from that.

It's alright, I'd get distracted too in the company of a good friend.

I'm glad it's a good thing, then. [But she's going over to grab some more ornaments.]
