I don't know what it is about this piece that makes it so beautiful. I really love the language, the third-person point of view that delves deeper than any monologue ever could. I love the way Severus justifies things, and then breaks them down to the truth.

The last three lines are absolutely perfect. I really hate that Severus died, and I can see this being his swan song. Beautiful.

Thank you so much! We learn so much about Severus in the last book/movie, yet he still remains so much a mystery. I enjoyed the chance to explain some of his actions. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This is wonderful. You've captured Severus so perfectly and explained so many things that I was curious about, particularly his desire for the DADA position. And when Albus finally offers it he gets another clue piled on the many regarding how disposable he is to the man. Really well done, thank you!
