*waves* I followed the link through the H/G community and thought we could start off here with a favorite quotes discussion.

Even though this is a Deathly Hallows discussion community, I'll put mine behind a cut, just incase people are reading flists and such =]

My quote comes from page 75, where's yours from? )

Trust Fred and George to make light of losing an ear, right?

I like Ron's 'Merlin's baggy Y-fronts...' (we all knew he wore Y-fronts anyway)

I like young James Potter's 'Mum, I can't give a professor love!... I can't walk into Herbology and give him love'

And finally, a classic (already): "Of course its happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"

I'm sure I'll unearth more wonderful quotes as I re-read it but those are my faves off the top of my head.

Mrs Longbottom totally kicks ass! In previous books I thought she was a bit underappreciative of Neville but you can totally see where he gets his fighting spirit from.

I saw it more like Mrs Longbottom missed her son and saw Neville as not really matching up to how good a wizard his father was. Neville's always been clumsy and not the brightest and I think his confidence was squashed a bit by his gran not thinking he was good enough.

I like Krum's line:

"What's the point of being an international Quidditch player if all the good-looking girls are taken?"

and "He can move faster than Severus Snape confronted with shampoo."

I loved Potterwatch (that's what it was called, right? I don't have my book with me). Pretty much all the quotes from that part were amazing =]

OHHH MAN I laughed SO hard at the second quote when I read it. I was on an airplane and people were looking at me like 'wtf?' haha but I don't care.
