Children's books are such a challenge to write, but they're really fun to do. If you need any pointers, just ask, and I can send you a copy of Children's Market. It's the '05 one I believe, but it still has some solid tutorials and professional contact lists. Most bookstores carry it, so you should swing on down to one when you are shopping for pertinent distros. Also, feel free to email me for any help. I do have a bit of experience in editing and publication and at very least could help with the submission queries and such.
Before '07, I plan to have a manuscript sent off to The Nation. I know it's a lofty goal...but whateva. I'll have Novy and Thiher and maybe the some of crew of the Oxford American help in the editing process. It would be sawee-ee-eet.
Though that is love simply at face value. True, love is patient and meek. And it truly transcends all things, even such things such as hope. What is the old Buddhist saying? "Hope and fear chase each other's tails." Hope is a desire for some positive, enviable end, ignoring and discounting the present. It is resignation to current circumstances, and an accession to fear and trembling. So hope has little, if anything to do with love in it's purest, most untainted form
