Tokyo streetlights seem to be giving out their best tonight. The streets are strangely empty with occasional cars passing by and English pop songs blasting out from the car stereo. Yamada and Chinen are, unsurprisingly, asleep at the back seats of the car; the younger's head resting on the elder's shoulder isn't exactly a rare thing to see. Keito and Yuto sit on the seats in front of them; each siting next to the car doors, leaving a huge gap between the two. Their manager is the one driving. "Keito, why don't you go to sleep?" Keito himself doesn't know why really. He shrugs, although he's sure that their manager won't be able to see him shrugging, but again, who cares.
He never really does. He never cares about sharing food with the others. He never cares about his members' problems. Heck, he never cares about keeping his manners when there's only Hey!Say! members and family around. It's not like they care about what I do anyway, he often thinks.
Okay maybe he does care about some things. Those which he thinks are relevant, that is. For example; the fans, his family's health, his school grades, his belongings, and his car seat. He just has to sit on the same spot everytime, otherwise he'll start throwing tantrums at the others-there’s an Okamoto Keito for you.
And apparently, tonight, Yuto has snatched away that spot for no reason. Keito's not exactly throwing tantrums at anybody, but if the rest weren't looking so sleepy, he might have. Oh, that's another thing he cares about. Sleepy faces. Just because.
Keito fidgets around, obviously not enjoying the right side of the middle seat. "Urgh," he groans.
"Keito-kun, please stop." Chinen still sounds sleepy. And everybody's sure the heard him yawning a little earlier.
"Blame Yuto," Keito mutters while crossing his arms in annoyance. "That's my seat anyway."
"Stop being so childish," Yamada pauses as he yawns, "We're sleepy and we want to sleep and you need to stop moving around so that we can sleep or else I'll tell everybody about your emergency fund and..."
"Okay!" Keito finally gives up. An emergency fund is considered as one of our belongings, right? It's something everybody cares about.
"Thank you," Yamada and Chinen thank him in unison.
Keito takes a glance at the boy sitting on the other side of the seat. Yuto can be really oblivious at times, and this annoys Keito pretty often. Catching the other eyeing him, Yuto gives Keito a look. That look he gives everyone everytime he's being oblivious and wants to just enjoy the songs on his iPod.
"My seat. Mine," Keito hisses as he points a finger towards his own chest.
Yuto shrugs. "Not tonight," he says. "Deal with it."
Keito sighs. He never likes arguing about who seats where because they're not supposed to be arguing anyway. Keito has once declared that it's his seat and nobody else's.
"Whatever." And that was Yuto's last line.
They have arrived at their dorm, for all Keito knows. What irks him the most is the fact that he'll be the one taking a shower last. Not to mention that's because he lost a bet the other day. "Urgh."
Keito gets out of the car first, and then stretches; his arms opened wide in the cold air. Making his way towards the building, he kicks off the pebbles that get in his way.
"Keito-kun!" He hears Yuto shout, making him turn around, only to find the other boy running towards him. Yuto looks pretty flawless in that thick jacket, to be honest.
Not that Keito thinks he's cute or anything.
"What?" Keito replies as they both walk up the stairs.
Yuto yawns and says, "You can go take a shower first." He smiles. "If you want." Then he goes back to the car to get his bag and whatnot.
Maybe. Probably. If possible. Yuto is a particular someone Keito cares about too.
