Excellent! I really enjoyed the first version, but right now I'm very excited about this new one. Interesting to read this part from Bathilda's perspective - she tends to be cast as a sideline character, so it's nice to see her written in more depth. The whole atmosphere of this chapter - the sets of knocks in the beginning, Bathilda's first impression of Gellert - just gripped me for some reason. Looking forward to more (but do take your time with the updates)!

I definitely like setting it up with Bathilda, since I intend to end it in a similar fashion the first version, which ends with her perspective, and I think that works better with the whole of the first chapter devoted to her impressions, etc.
