Have you ever been in love? Horrible, isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens your heart and it means someone can get inside you and mess you up. And no, it's not naive. We just have hope in the feeling, and that it is genuine enough to make us feel safe with whoever we choose. So we commit to it.
And that's not wrong. Don't hate the game, hate the players who spoil it for us. Their fault for not knowing the rules, though. Their fault, and ultimately their loss.
