Well i dono how good corn growth is arround here, but we've got a few big corn farm here to. Ontario is just soooo much bigger and the prairies just have the flat land for crops. I just dont really want to do potatoes lol
As for Dairy, thats what i want to have in the end, but the milking rights will cost you an arm and a leg, that and the equipment. i figure if i can set up a self sustainable farm to start and then start getting into the dairy, i might actually make it.
The organic farm is a really good idea, but that problem i seem to keep reading about organic farms is the pest problems and poor crop cultivation. Think there must be a certain trick to that. That and it takes a while before you can actually be certified "organic". But it would be possible to do if i started a farm from scratch, i'd just have to avoid any pesticides and all
Farming is hard but kick ass, I'd say go for it. But if I was you, I'd try to find lots of money BEFORE starting a farm. You could go fruit picking out West or work at Fort McMurray where they board you... anything really... Starting with a fuckload of debt is a really bad idea, that's how you get real ropped in. It's going to be hard enough without them... That's my little piece of advice...
ya, thought bout going there, but the thing i dont like bout that right now, is jack is still going true his first everything so not beeing home and missing that stuff would simply just suck monkey balls. So i dono, gona try and find some additional work here, and then save up for some land before the prices get too expensive
