Of course I didn't manage to get anything written for my birthday month. So much for writing something once a month. Although to be fair, I did write something, it's just not complete, so I couldn't post.

Oh the details...every single last detail was so AUTHENTIC. I had no desire to even step foot in the state of California but this might change my mind. Well, maybe not about the smog and not being able to see the stars.

Now the gushing.

AWWWWWWWWWW. He questions her nonverbally! He wears sneakers to the beach! He knew it would get cold and HAW. She checked him out about ugubillion times! AWWW. SHE GOES TO TRADER JOE'S!!! And then she declines going out to stay with him!

AND THEN THEY END ON FADE TO BLACK WHILE LOOKING AT EACH OTHER AND THEN THE SHOES!
HONEY, REALLY.

They so need to fuck.

Didn't they make a movie about this? The ...Bodyprotector? The Personguard? Mmmm...can't. Remember. Right. Now. Huh.

Also I'm pretty sure Elizabeth Taylor married one of her bodyguards.

SoCal is awesome. It's home & I love it. Don't think of it as smog, think of it as strengthening your lungs in various environments. Or something like that.

It's not so much that he knew it would get cold as much as he knew SHE would be cold at a mere 66 degrees.

I didn't actually mean for her to check him out. I think she gets so used to having him around that she's always wondering where he is, lurking about for her, y'know?

Quick comment since I have a 30 page paper I have to start and is due in 2 days. FML

BUT OMG AWESOMENESS!
I spent 3 hours on the fucking 405 today trying to get to the 5. Making me an extra 3 hours behind on my paper because of stupid holiday traffic.

Thanksgiving Break is evil.. it makes you fat and incredibly behind on work. Sorry, side-rant.

Now back to good rant.

You're so right about SoCal being hot too. The clothes I bought home were useless. I just loved your details.. it's exactly what I was thinking this weekend when I was home for the holidays.

Now for the couple..
I AGREE WITH V. Omg.. lovely. I love how he protects her.. (yea, it's his job, I know.. but still it's cute!)
And shoes.. lol.. I'm actually surprised he has so many. But then again, it's also very practical and very Kunzite-ish. Especially the sneakers at the beach. It's also very Minako-ish to critique his clothes all the time. I bet she prefer them being absent though. kekekeke

Oh, how I miss the 405 - no matter where I was in LA, the 405 took me home - but yes, traffic can be the worst of bitches.

Except for some rain in, what, April, SoCal has perfect sunny weather all year long. It may be hot & muggy as hell, but there'll be some clear skies.

He has a reason for having so many shoes! His shoes always have to be clean. SO, in case he hasn't gotten a chance to clean one pair, he can wear the other pair. And of course, he needs different kinds of shoes. He has so many sneakers 'cause that's part of his bodyguard uniform.

Guess which DVD I have on my shelves...
I LOVE the bodyguard, so to find out that you wrote a Bodyguard-style fic with my favourite ship is win win win. I like how they gravitate towards each other in this quiet, subtle way. She's not head over heels with him in the beginning, but you can tell that the second she really noticed him, she was doomed. In a good way, of course.

It has been years since I've seen the Bodyguard - I wish I had it so I could watch it again & stop yanking ideas from memories of the past or at least do it well. :)

He becomes such a strong, consistent presence in her life over time that this one day she just really looks at him, and sees him as more than the sum of his parts.
