The weekend's happenings...
Friday night we were supposed to get together with a bunch of people and play some softball. Well a bunch turned out to be 5. We we each hit a ton of balls for some batting practice. It was pretty fun. I haven't taken so many swings in a long ass time. I do know for a fact I am going to be playing first base though. I don't want to kill my arm in one inning of play. rawr!
So after practice, I went home and showered and Ashley, one of the girls that is gonna be on my team, and I went to the cheap grocery store to get some eats for the grille. Well I ended up getting a few steaks and a half gallon of Southern Comfort. Justin ended up coming to our little (Country Place E1) party which was cool, he's an awesome friend. The party sucked ass, if I would have been imformed that 90% of the people there were going to smoke weed, I wouldn't have went and I don't think Carolyn or Justin would have either. Don't college students have anything better to do with their time than to smoke weed? It isn't healthy for people to do and it is still illegal, last I checked. So UGH! Then Justin and I drank a little more at his place and played some xBox for a bit before bed. I stayed the night on his couch. I don't know why I do it to myself, but I end up sleeping on couches frequently on the weekends. I hate it. I have an awesome bed at home and I need to sleep in that.
Saturday Justin and I went to meijer to get some food for each of our apartments then he played my xBox for a while.. Saturday night Carolyn told me she wanted to get drunk. Well I haven't EVER heard her say that before so I'm like cool, whatever.. She prolly drinks the equivalent of 8 shots or so in an hour.. Crazy if you ask me, but she told me to make her drinks strong, so I did.. Then she has a glass of wine. Then Jeremy (from Lambda Chi) came over to chill with me for a bit. Wow, almost a party, 4 people in my apartment all at once. So I don't really know if I am wanted to join Lambda Chi or not, but if I am I will probably join. I think I fit better with them than with Theta Chi. I am not a huge partier and I already know most of the Lambda Chi's really well. Yes, I know I am different than most of them but aren't we all supposed to be striving for diversity in our lives? I think I would be a really good fit because I would bring a new prospective and view on many different things. Ok enough about the greek life. Or is it?
I woke up Sunday morning around 10 mins till noon. Almost totally forgetting that I was going to help Kathy move in her new monsterous bed frame. So I IMed her and let her know I was on my way over. Which was pretty good timing, as I got there 2 mins before her family did. Damn, I'm good. We move this bed frame, which is made out of 4x4s, 2x6s, and plywood (and weighs about 200 pounds) up the steps, getting the light blue paint everywhere on the walls. Well it was far to huge to get in her bedroom easily so I took off the door of her room and somehow we got it jammed in. Right after that she had to leave for work, so I went to lunch with her mom, sister, brother-in-law, neice, and nephew. Pretty nice family. Almost makes me wonder what my life would be like if I had a stable family when I was growing up. So then I meet up with Carolyn, Darren, and another one of his friends. We went to the mall for something to do. So we stopped by the Verizon store to get Carolyn a new phone, ugh I hate customer service people when they're lazy.. In fact I'm not even going to get into that. RAWR! I eventually get dropped off at home and then get a call from Kathy asking if I get her IM. Well I hadn't cuz I just got home. So I went over and helped her rearrange her room, moving the bed to the other side and her other stuff to where her bed was. Guess she wanted to be able to open her door. So we do that then start watching tv cuz we're bored. Holly, Adam (from Lambda Chi)'s girlfriend came in and we all watched together. That was plesant. After a while someone mentioned food, so we got hungry. Kathy called like 10 different places and we found out how hard it is to find an open one at 11pm on a Sunday night in/around Allendale. And I had my heart set on Red Lobster.. Till she said Hooters.. But we ended up having to settle for Arbys. meh. lol. At least the company was good.
I went home and tried working on my desktop computer cuz the p.o.s. wouldn't even start up.. Just goes to and then does the blue screen of death and then restarts on its own, so I couldn't even read the error message. Well I finally went into safemode and did a system restore from a month ago. hopefull that will fix the problem.. It seemed to, but who knows.. I guess I'll find out sometime within the next week, if I even have time to get on my desktop. Between working 30 hours a week and having my friends back in town and making new ones like every day its getting a little hectic. I just hope I have enough time for all my friends. I would hate to piss any of them off by not being able to hang out with them, if they wanted to hang out with me. Funny I never had that problem before, oh wait I never really had many friends before. I finally went to sleep around 3 or 4, which means I got a whopping 3 or 4 hours of sleep. BOOOOO!
So now I am working on my typing skills and also programming this dictionary thing with my laptop. Fun times had all around there. I am gonna go to lunch around noon so that is fun too. Meh! AH HAHAHAHAHA.
