Daily Prompt List

Feb 04, 2008 23:13

Challenge #1: Vengence

Your story can be anything to do with the idea of vengence. This was picked because I've always wondered if Draco ever got revenge on Hermione for that slap in third year. Now your story doesnt have to do anything with that but that was the reasoning behind it being a prompt. I'll be doing this for almost all of them.

Have fun folks

~*~

Challenge #2: Holiday

Picked because in about three days I'm going on Thanksgving holiday. No Dramione related thought on this one. Hope ya'll have fun with this.

~*~

Happy Thanksgiving Folks :)

~*~

Challenge #4 is Conspiracy.

Whole conspircay theory thing came to mind earlier today. What can I say I take them how I see them

~*~

Challenge #5 is The End

Today's challenge is The End. Why cause I absolutly hate endings. Without a doubt the thought of anything ending makes me very unhappy. I just finished a new book and again was hit with this wave of annoyance at the end. Thats the reason behind this challenge. Enjoy :)

~*~

Challenge # 6: Kiss

Today's challenge is Kiss. Normal rules apply. Make it happy, make it sad, make it sappy, make it anyway you want just enjoy yourself. :)

~*~

Challenge # 8: Glory

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb.
Sir Winston Churchill (1874 - 1965)

Challenge number eight for today is Glory. The above quote is what inspired me to pick it. I think it was in my history text book I can't quite remember. But yeah....Glory, or you could use it as a name.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minumum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 9: Immortal

~*~

Challenge # 10: Rapture

Find expression for a sorrow and it will become dear to you. Find expression for a joy, and you will intensify its ecstasy.
Author Unknown

Challenge # 12: The Dance

"There's a passion inside, an inner strength that drives, and nobody can take that away from you. It's the greatest high, you set the floor on fire when you come alive....and we're dancing." -PYT

Today's challenge is not a word but a quote, the one above. It's a concept that I've toyed with what seems like ages. That love is a dance its just a matter of knowing the right steps and having the right partner, maybe even the right teacher. I felt like sharing it, take it as you will. Maybe someone else will have a better chance of putting into words than I did.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minumum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 13: Midnight

It's what you get when you die and the gods reward you for a life spent working from dawn until midnight.
Tamora Pierce, Alanna The First Adventure

Sorry for the spaming of peoples flist. making up for lots of missed challenges. I'd lost the list that I'd written. Anyway Challenge #13, the quote is from one of my all time favorite writers Tamora Pierce. I was kinda thinking when I wrote it right Draco think's he's died and is wondering what he's done to be rewarded with Hermione and her like never ending love for him. Thats all but its up to you to do with as you please.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minumum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 14: Loyalty

"He [Dumbledore] will only be gone from the school when none are loyal to him."
JK Rowling, Harry in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Sorry for the spaming of peoples flist. making up for lots of missed challenges. I'd lost the list that I'd written. This is the frist one from the book go me :) I kinda only picked this because it's from the book and thats about it but now I'm kinda liking it.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minumum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 15: Witness

There is no witness so dreadful, no accuser so terrible as the conscience that dwells in the heart of every man.
    Polybius

Sorry for the spaming of peoples flist. making up for lots of missed challenges. I'd lost the list that I'd written. Thought about this one in reference to HBP and what exactly would and could be going on in Draco's head after the events in the tower. Or on a different note what, if Hermione and Draco were together before that, was going on in Hermiones head after the revaltaions of the events in the Tower, who was she worried about Draco, Harry, Ron??? Enjoy

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minumum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 16: Judgement

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.”
 Ambrose Redmoon

Okay tired of retyping about the spaming thing so I'm not gonna. So this quote, one of my favorite ones too. Bhhh tired of typing hehe. Being able to stand for what you think is right (S.P.E.W) doesnt mean that you're not afraid (Of what others think) it means that you see the bigger picture and you know you've got something more important to think about than being afraid (Standing up for those who don't know how to)

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minumum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 17: Fear

‘Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond imagination. It is our light more than our darkness which scares us. We ask ourselves - who are we to be brilliant, beautiful, talented, and fabulous. But honestly, who are you to not be so?

You are a child of God, small games do not work in this world. For those around us to feel peace, it is not example to make ourselves small. We were born to express the glory of god that lives in us. It is not in some of us, it is in all of us. While we allow our light to shine, we unconsciously give permission for others to do the same. When we liberate ourselves from our own fears, simply our presence may liberate others.’

- Marianne Williamson in Return to Love: Reflections on a Course in Miracles

This is one of my favorite quotes around. I think of Draco in some abstract way when I read this. Its hard to put into words but its still there the thought of him. I'll try anyway to better explain why I deviated from my list to add this in, I think of Draco because in my head I think that he has moments of goodness and they go against the things that he's been taught to he tries to make up for them by being meaner. He sees how his father acts and that how he think he should but sometimes he doesnt. So in reference to this quote I think that he maybe someone else showed him a better way maybe, just maybe, he'd follow that. Consider that he thought -and almost did- accept Dumbdledore's offer at the end of HBP.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minumum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 18: Nirvana

“The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed.”

- Siddhārtha Gautama

First of the new daily prompts. Picked something absract this time around. Not much to say, Buddhist quote. Do as you please so long as you have fun.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minumum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 19: Madness

“Truly great madness can not be achieved without significant intelligence.”
-Henrik Tikkanen

It is my belief that love, true love is a form of madness. Its an obsession that leads people to do things that they would not normally do. True love is all consuming and impossible to control or predict. True love is giving away a part of yourself, the most vulnerable part of yourself to the possibility of absolute loyalty or absolute betrayal. It will drive the sanest of people to a place they've never been. And in all its absurdity it will be the greatest moments of your life. True Love = Madness ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 20: I Will Always Love You

http://www.box.net/shared/10jt1egowk

Tonight you guys get a song instead of a quote. Follow the link and you can download or listen to the song if you've never heard it. Its Whitney Houston's rendition of "I Will Always Love You" from the film "The Bodyguard". I've never seen the movie but the song is wonderful to listen to. Whenever I hear the song I always get the idea of a Draco/Hermione story where they were together then something happens and they're separated and this song is playing in the background as they walk away from one another for the last time. Anyway see what you can come up with this song.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 21: Time

Ah! The Clock is always slow; It is later than you think
- Robert W Service

Sorry for being late, went on my HS Senior Trip. Came back was too sick to come online. But I wrote out a list. So todays challenge is time.I'll admit I have a bit of a facination with time and the fact it always seems that no matter what you do you're always missing something or too late for something. If you had all the time in the world what would you do with it?

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 22: Teacher

A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influences stop.
- Henry Adams

Sorry for being late, went on my HS Senior Trip. Came back was too sick to come online. But I wrote out a list. So todays challenge is Teacher. I giggle here. This came to me in a rare moment of brillance. Snape did the unthinkable (not so much in my mind but still) by loving Lily. He swicths sides for this love. Come on its a all to perfect idea. Snape/Lily, Draco/Hermione, come on you know you see the similarities.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.
~*~

Challenge # 23: Love

Love begets love.
-Robert Herrick

Sorry for being late, went on my HS Senior Trip. Came back was too sick to come online. But I wrote out a list. So todays challenge is love. Simple idea, no need to explain nor justify.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~
Challenge # 24: Memory

Memory, the warder of the brain.
-William Shakespeare

Sorry for being late, went on my HS Senior Trip. Came back was too sick to come online. But I wrote out a list. So todays challenge is Love. Sometimes in certain situations our mind protects us from things we'd rather not think about. That doesn't make these memories any less real.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~
Challenge # 25: Family

Blood is thicker than water.
- John Ray

Sorry for being late, went on my HS Senior Trip. Came back was too sick to come online. But I wrote out a list. So todays challenge is Family. In my mind, the most important thing to the Malfoy is family. I mean look what Narcissa did to protect her son, and what Lucius went through to gain the power he felt would help his family. I've always wondered in a way if Draco had to pick between his family and his love what would he pick. Whould he even have to? If family is most important and family always wants family happy there for with people they love would that even come up. And is blood really more important than family.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~
Challenge # 26: Dreams

HAD I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
        -W. B Yeats

Sorry for being late, went on my HS Senior Trip. Came back was too sick to come online. But I wrote out a list. Back to our regularly scheduled posted, this days prompt is Dreams. No song or quote. Poem this day. Yeats.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

Challenge # 27: I'll Never Break Your Heart

http://www.box.net/shared/qj0c7cw00s

Second song instead of of quote. This time going old school with Backstreet Boys. I'm a child of the 90's what can I say. To lazy and in too much pain to write anything for this. I have the flu and bronkitus so sue me.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~
Challenge # 28: You're Still The One

http://www.box.net/shared/5h3owhv4s0

No words or explanations. Listen and SEE.

~*~
Challenge # 29: Never Had A Dream Come True

http://www.box.net/shared/in9mlp1s84

Again I am a child of the 90's what can I say. This is such a wonderful little pop love song. Pop love songs as far as I'm concerned work wonders for Dramione fics.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~
Challenge # 30: Iris

http://www.box.net/shared/0gwzik944g

Fourth song in a row. This may be a pattern. I know this song is from some movie. What movie I don't know but it is. Whenever I hear this song I always always see Draco. I can't put into words exactly what I see but he's at the for front of my mind. Even with DH upsetting me so much this song still works in my mind for him. And I don't want the world to see me/Cause I don't think that they'd understand/When everything's made to be broken/I just want you to know who I am That sold me for this. Everyone wants to be remembered in some way, maybe not by everyone but by the people that are important to them.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 31: Harbingers

It would seem that I cant find a quote or anything for this one. So no nice little push. A harbinger though, is a sign for things to come. Its a precursor to things to come.

On a side note. Sorry for dropping off the planet for the week. I just turned 18 and was celebrating. I'm back though in full force.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 32: Opposite

“The opposite of love is apathy, and hate is really the same as love. If you're so consumed by hatred for someone, you might as well be loving them, because you're thinking about them for the same amount of time.”
- Unknown (Bible?)

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

~*~

Challenge # 33: Disappear

I will not go down under the ground
Because somebody tells me that death's coming 'round
And I will not carry myself down to die
When I go to my grave my head will be high,
Let me die in my footsteps
Before I go down under the ground.
There's been rumors of war and wars that have been
The meaning of the life has been lost in the wind
And some people thinking that the end is close by
Instead of learning to live they are learning to die.
Let me die in my footsteps
Before I go down under the ground.

I don't know if I'm smart but I think I can see
When someone is pulling the wool over me
And if this war comes and death's all around
Let me die on this land before I die underground.
Let me die in my footsteps
Before I go down under the ground.

Let me drink from the waters where the mountain streams flood
Let me smell of wildflowers flow free through my blood
Let me sleep in your meadows with the green grassy leaves
Let me walk down the highway with my brother in peace.
Let me die in my footsteps
Before I go down under the ground.

Let Me Die In My Footsteps- Bob Dylan

No music...well no song this time. But a quote of a song. I'm currently on a post HBP/DH Malfoy thing/kick. Mostly its my mind working in bad ways. I my mind I think that if Draco had joined full with the Death Eathers and the Dark Lord he would have disappeared. Ceased being who he was through out the previous five books. Today's challenge is Disappear the lyrics are just my way of inspiring you.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.

Challenge# 46: Innocences (Speak Like A Child)

Good morning, me. Did you sleep well? And did you wake up well?
Does the light and the wind, the air the smell, all feel brand new?
Today, you are who you are today.
You are a newer version of me. Myself ten years from now…
That’s so far away for me that I cant even begin to imagine.
Am I alone? Or is there a wonderful person next to me?
Well, knowing me, I’m sure I’m troubling a lot of different people.
But that’s all right. There’s no problem. I will always be cheering you on.
And now for a big cheer…from the bottom of my heart.
Go! Go! Me, me, me! Do your best, do your best!
Me, me, me! Don’t lose, don’t lose! Me, me, me!
I am no longer here…But I’m here today, and I’ll always be
cheering for you right here…Cheering for you, me only self.

-Keiko Nobumoto

I first say this particular pieces on a anime wallpaper believe it or not. It was the title of a Cowboy Bebop episode which featured this song. Its always intrigued me as the episode was about Faye Valentine a character who has no memory. But in the context of Draco and Hermione I see a child like version of either of them writing this in a journal or maybe a letter to themselves to be opened 10 years later. Its got this child like innocences to it.

Rules: Stories can be 500 to 1000 words, no more no less. If your combining themes then it has to be between minimum and the max for the number of themes you did (example: You used 3 themes so your story has to be between 1500-3000 words). Have FUN.
