It's hard to set out all my art when I only see so many other pretty things around me. Michael Whelan will be there - yum (do not stalk Michael Whelan, Diana). I got e-mail from Jim ( Read more... )

I'm very curious to see how the comicon will do wtihout you there. Ie how much you being there personally affects sales. Have a great time at Spectrum. I'm sure it's going to be mind blowing!

Your art is lovely. No need to feel intimidated. :-)

Well I just moved here from Washington State last August and I didn't know of this! I live in Raytown a little city surrounded by KC MO and I could drive the few blocks over BUT, always a but, I am committed to the Oklahoma Renaissance Fair this weekend. Sorry I can't come and see you. Enjoy yourself.

*starry eyed* Gregory Manchess...

Actually, though, I'd seriously dig meeting Peter de Seve. I learned so much about drawing from that guy.

Ooo! Greg is one of the IMC instructors. I know him. Great oil work.

Yeah, I really idealize him though I don't know if I could paint that way. Especially not in oils! The thing that really got me was a video of him doing a Hellboy piece where he's basically done this enough that he has this feel for when his paint's dried and he can go back and work over it.

I mean, it's a Spectrum show so I figure he'd probably be there and a batch of other folks I really like.
