That's interesting that there was a sudden flurry over 'aumg no trademarked chars'. New policy or belated enforcing of existing policy? I'm guessing Dawn's MLPs were fan-chars, not the Hasbro trademarked chars.

It's existing policy that art of trademarked characters can't be sold in the Art Show (except for parodies), as Anthrocon is the seller of record and we don't have licenses to sell any. Normally our crew would catch these at check-in, but unfortunately the distinction wasn't clearly communicated to many of our newer staff members. Fan characters in the MLP style are OK. Dawn had made a set of teacups with the six main characters' cutie marks, but they didn't depict the characters' likenesses and she changed the title to remove the suggestion of a connection to MLP.
