Yeah, this pink layout nearly gave me heart attack when I saw it for the first time. Ugh.
Dracula has been translated by so many people that it's extremely hard to say which translation is the best. There were even ones two times shorter than original or without Van Helsing (!). So, I thought I'd rather read it in English XD
I don't think I've seen the Bram Stoker's Dracula translated into a decent sort of English (and I totally agree, some parts were so hard to grasp I've had to re-read them continuously until the meaning dawned on me, but what do I know? My girlfriend's working in a language bookshop (is that what you call them in English?), though, so I can as well ask if she knows or knows someone who might know.
Oh hell, I love talking to you, too! I wish we could meet someday to discuss some crazy theories, Valdemar-, Westeros-, and everything-wise. And surely I'd show you the path of light that is CLAMP XD
Yay! Please ask her ^___^ Hm, I kinda wanted Dracula as original text, written in late XIX century style. Grammar certainly looks archaic, but vocabulary is so easy... I'm suspicious O.o (It doesn't matter I don't understand old English; I love it anyway. XD)
*hugs* Yup, I'd really love long talk in cafe... But CLAMP's artwork is strange ;P
We're talking rarely and essentially on fantasy terms. I guess you don't have time for long-talking :) But I'm always open for some small(or big) conversations. p.s. School is going to kill you ;/
