"Hunter X Hunter (2011)" -- This is still ongoing, but has to be the best overall series so far. I like it better than the more popular Bleach and Naruto.

I haven't watched much of Fairy Tale, so I don't know how that is. The first two parts of what I know as "DBZ", which is really Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and the part I don't like: Dragon Ball GT, are good also, but I wouldn't recommend them for everyone.

Now I did watch a lot of Bleach and all of the pre-Shippuden Naruto, and I can say that I prefer Bleach because it has more action and character development (at the same time), and the setting is fascinating. Shippuden might be better, but I haven't watched it. Naruto was good at the start because of the use of strategy but it gradually got more action oriented, and that is a bad thing for me.

"Steins; Gate" because it is better time travel than Doctor Who, I kid you not. Doctor Who has its own charm and reasons for me to love the franchise, but "Steins; Gate" does time travel really well and consistently, and I love that about anything. "Primer" is a live-action English language independent film which does a fascinating job, but leaves a lot of open questions. "Steins; Gate" answers most in the Anime and the VN was released in English earlier this year by JAST (I haven't experienced it, but just FYI), so that might help things.

"Chaos; Head" is sort of the prequel to "Steins; Gate" but it is not based on time travel, but rather, on perception and distortion of reality by altering perception. The concepts it expresses resonate with some earlier philosophical work that I did, and so, I enjoyed it even more than "Steins; Gate". Your Mileage May Vary, but the allegorical journey represented by "Chaos; Head" is more worth repeating, to me, than the entertaining journey that is "Steins; Gate".
