The Legend of Korra
Is anyone else here a fan of The Legend of Korra?
And by that I mean: is anyone else here completely in love with it???
I'll admit I was surprised when I started loving it as much as I do now, but I can't help it!
I mean... Lin Beifong, you guys! LIN BEIFONG!!! Oh man... There aren't enough words to express how in love I am with this woman! She is... such a beautiful, beautiful character. AND THE BAMFest OF BAMFs!!! But then again, when her mother is Toph Beifong, what else could we expect? XDD
I am seriously in love with the ladies in this show. Lin, Korra, Asami (I didn't really like Asami at first, but she's proved to be tough and amazing), even Jinora and Ikki. OH! And Naga of course! Naga's awesome. And grandma!Katara is adorable and I hope there's more of her in the finale.
Tenzin is my favorite out of the males. Bolin is great, but he needs to become more than a comic relief ASAP. I started out loving Mako, but he's kind of an ass and an idiot most of the time. He doesn't deserve Korra OR Asami right now. I admit I was a lot into Mako/Korra when the show started, but even though it's becoming quite evident that they're the end-game OTP of the show, I think Mako needs to figure some shit out before getting together with Korra.
I think Amon is a great villain... because he pretty much gives me the creeps and I have no idea what he's up to, which is great. I hate when I can predict what the villain's next move will be.
I still hope that the equalists will be explored more in the next season, and maybe we'll see that they're not all bad. Because, quite frankly, apart from the crazy frelling leader that is Amon, they do have a point! And after the things that Tarrlok did, you understand why the non-benders are gathering around Amon.
I even thought Tarrlok was working with Amon, but evidently I was wrong.
By the way, that fight between Tarrlok and Korra? A-FREAKING-MAZING!!! And the bloodbending CREEPED ME OUT! OMG! The sounds of the body twisting and the LOOK on Korra's face (and Aang's in the flashback) and... duuuude! *shudder*
I love how this show is darker than the previous Avatar. With the cast being older, I suppose it makes sense too.
But back to my main point: LIN!!!
OH GOD THAT SCENE IN THE LAST EPISODE! MY POOR LIN!!! "THAT LADY IS MY HERO!"
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, BB! AND I LOVE YOU! AND THAT SCENE MADE ME CRY SO HARD!!!
SHE SACRIFICED ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING! SHE LOST EVERYTHING! AND SHE DIDN'T SHED A SINGLE TEAR, SHE DIDN'T REGRET IT! SHE KNEW SHE WAS DOING THE RIGHT THING!
... and this comment on Tumblr made me CRY: "guys, the ground must have felt so quiet to Lin when she hit it."
