He's off to Bentley for a 4-year stint as a dean, so there's an opening in the department--a temporary spot for 2 years. Doesn't sound like I'll be applying for it, though--we're not likely to be relocating to Meadville, though it would be nice to be somewhere that gets lots of snow. (We just had our first snowfall--just a few inches.) So no glorious return to AC for me...

I had a feeling he was behind the offer somehow. The only college teaching offer I got was from Jim Brown, former AC Physics (temp) Prof. But that's because he didn't know my deep dark secret.

We got an inch or two here as well, which is a lot for this area for this time of year. We mostly get freezing rain instead of snow...

I know it's no fun... persoanlly, I always did best in interviews when I had the attitude of "what the hell" but I supposed that's no more help than the ole standard "picture them in their underwear."

Anyway-- good luck with that and with grading essays. I share that last one with you. Arg.
