The problem with all of these is it assumes that the candidates are:

#1 sincere in their statements of belief
#2 not personality duds (either douchebags or uninspiring)
#3 not bat**#2!# raving nuts

For example, my primary reason for not even considering Guiliani or Clinton is they don't stand for anything and are willing to do anything to get power (from my perception) - their stance on the issues is therefore meaningless as it's impossible to gauge anything about them other than it's difficult to gauge.
