It basically says that, just like any other politician, Obama is promising more than he will be able to deliver. He's also making assumptions that many people don't agree with. Basically, he's playing politics. So, exactly what you would expect.

I care more about if people are going to vote, and vote as educated members of the public than if they are going to vote for Obama or McCain

Then you should be trying to talk me into voting, not telling me to shut up. I think I did register to vote the last time I re-uped my driver's license. How frequently do voters have to re-register?
