I woke up this morning with absolute pain in my left upper jaw. It kind of felt like someone had decked me or something…..except that when that happens, the pain usually subsides after a while into soreness. I also noticed that my cap was hanging about ¼ inch down from the rest of the teeth, which is kinda odd. So I popped some Motrin and ( Read more... )

Damn dentists are notorious for making people wait.My theory is that they sneak off to have sex with the receptionist, grab a quick bite to eat, or some thing to drink, maybe even take a quick nap, then they take about two minutes to diagnose the actual problem before getting back with the patient an hour later.I can't prove this theory but it does sound logical.

I'm surprised he didn't recomend a mouth piece like they use for contact sports to help stop the grinding of teeth.

Btw, I <3 Tom Hanks movies.

I was going to say 'have you been fighting again?' but you beat me to it!

God almighty - so they expect you to pay for the dentist AND for a shrink! Teeth grinding is just a habit I think - I used to do it in my sleep and was totally unaware. It was the person in the room with me that needed the shrink - so upset was he by the horrible 'nails down blackboard' type of noise!!! eeeh!

I hope they finally sort it out for your bird!

Root canals are no fun.... but when the root canal doesn't work, what they do then to fix it is even more painful! At the ripe old age of 18, I had never had a cavity but had to have a root canal!
Sorry you had a rough day. It'll get better.....
*hugs*
