November was diabetes month and I revived my diabetes blog and posted there everyday with diabetes trivia. I learned a lot while doing my fact checking.

Here is a quiz. Some questions have more than one answer. Answers are in the comments. Give yourself 0-5 points per question depending on how many you got right. A score of 45+ makes you a diabetes

1. b and d. Human and rDNA insulin are the only insulins on the US market; beef insulin was removed from the market after the mad cow scare in the '90s, and pork insulin was removed from the market about 7 years later 'cause it wasn't profitable. They are still available overseas. Although trout were used as an ingredient in making the preservatives to go with insulin, trout insulin itself has never been for sale
