So your internet does work on your laptop? Excellent.

My mom just chopped about three feet off the top of that avocado tree. She read that they can grow up to 40 feet high... hopefully this way it'll just concentrate on (maybe) making avocados.

Yeah. My mum grew the thing from a seed (like, the pit of an avocado). She's really obsessive about it, but it wouldn't have survived the move so we had to give it away.
