i felt that way about a few of her albums, at first. but i seem to find that the more i listen to them, the more my mind adjusts somehow, and it all starts sounding better and better together, until it is a totally delightful experience!
of course, perception of music is a very personal thing, also.

I had this feeling with Post and Homogenic.
Yet i don't like most Vespertine the cd. But
i'have heard some live's performances of her
songs during the american tour, which were
delightful as you said.

I missed it too. It's too far away from here,
and the french tour was also sold out and very expansive...i've just listened to some mp3
files found on the net.
I think that Vespertine is lovely, and possibly her best CD yet. I personally think she gets better and better with each successive album, and that would make Vespertine my favorite (although, Homogenic has sentimental value for me).
Her show was sold out in Bjork. So it goes. And so was Sigur Ros!
Hey, don't be afraid :)
It's great to talk with people who don't
think the same as me.
And it's not because i don't like vespertine
that i will sold out all of her ancient releases,
or beeing no more a fan of her.
I'll just waiting the next one with hope...
