The box isn't big enough for Yunho to fit inside, so I'm guessing it's Sungmin instead :D
Re: cowboys, I draw your attention to The Good, the Bad & the Weird, which involved hot Koreans and the dust and tumbleweeds of 1930s Manchuria. Excuse me while I imagine Yunho as Bad (epic eyeliner) and Changmin as Good (BIG GUN). Also remember that the dude who played Good in the film is the one who hit on Siwon during Athena and Changmin was also in Athena and IT'S ALL RELATED ZOMG
I followed bread crumbs of fantastic fiction to get here and found this one line
- I got a massive delivery of yarn for more knitty fun and I actually have patterns for 90% of it, which is rare for me as I'm such a sucker for pretty colours without specific purpose.
Just wanted to say that my heart bumps for you, I know the feeling whenever I have yarn in my hands, at my disposal, on its way deciding to become mine... you get the idea. What do you do with it all? I make scarves and baby blankets at the moment. I am stashing sock yarn though because I feel a fit of socks coming, have done the sweaters and hats and squares and washcloths and *whispers* I bought a spindle just the other day and am waiting for it to arrive then I can spin my own....... you see where this is going, yes?
Hello there. The only fic trail of breadcrumbs that leads to me must be from glitterburn - I hope you've been enjoying what she's been writing.
In return I've been trying to teach her to knit... but she has more patience for plotty porn than she does for pointy sticks.
I have scary amounts of yarn that I've not knitted, but I can't resist buying more. Last year was all about the socks, but I've not even started a pair this year. I've just finished a baby blanket, I'm knitting a Changmin from TVXQ-style chunky cowl and a Lizard Ridge blanket at the minute, but I have a cardigan, a scarf for my mother-in-law for Christmas (getting in early this year for once) and a not-too-lacy shawl for me in my queue.
I envy you being in the US because you have access to yarns that are ridic expensive or hard-to-get in the UK like all the Cascade varieties and Socks That Rock...
Are you on Ravelry at all? I spend a lot of my time there when not talking to glitterburn about Korean pop music :)
I am on Ravelry and mostly on the kdrama and kpop group if I have anything to talk about, though I am in plenty groups. I am acorn on Rav.
Yes, the trail of crumbs was glitterburn and I remember reading some of her work before but today I found the WonMi fic and now the TVXQ stuff and am settling in for good reading. Guess what? My house is quiet and there is no one but me, --trust me this is big stuff--
Teaching her to knit? Have fun. And you are smart enough to get an early start on your Xmas gifts? I am trying to figure out my next project. Stuck somewhere between a scarf, a shawl, and a blanket. Though I figure a blanket is due anyway, a friend's sister is having a baby. And no, no I will NOT buy any more yarn, I will stash bust or bust. That does not include fiber though and this year I want to try dyeing the yarn/fiber again and I want to weave.
Meant to ask, besides TVXQ and Suju who else falls under your kpop list?
I have to confess I never looked for K-related forums on Rav. I got a bit scared off mixing fandom and fibre when I found the Glee comm on there and it was all a little hysterical for my liking
