Lan and I have been talking, and we wonder why they don't build nuclear reactors underwater. I figure you might be able to shed some light on that, because it seems like a good idea to me. That at least it would avoid meltdowns. The only reason I could think of is that it would be cost prohibitive, but probably cheaper than cleaning up a nuclear meltdown?

Well, cost prohibitive, yes, to say the least. Not to mention the electricity needed to control the thing doesnt mix too well with water ( ... )
