Apart from working over 150 hours of overtime in the past 8 weeks, I'm hanging in! I've included some pictures to illustrate what else I've been up to in the past few months, so this post is rather image heavy. I should be in Toronto at some point in the new year (I WANT TO GO DANCING!) and apart from that, I anticipate that my life will slow ( Read more... )

Thanks! I don't know about the taste part - it certainly wasn't inherent...a lot of trial and error dictated the outcome. But it seems more like home, and I guess that's the most important part.

Thanks! I. Hate. Painting. I knew that before I started, and now I'm convinced. I wish I could hire someone to do it for me, but my miserly Swiss blood simply won't allow it ;) Coffee soon would be lovely!

*sigh* I miss you too! But hey, should you ever venture my way, now you know what your guest suite will look like! I'm most proud of the garden, because I did all the "construction" myself. I went with a burgundy and dark green concept, and it should fill in quite nicely over the next few seasons!

Yes! That was my ambition with the chaise longue. I cringed a little at the white, but eventually the room will be accented in red, so it should mesh together at some point. The addition is north-facing, so it might be a little ambitious to call it a sun porch, but I asked for the maximum number of windows and we settled on 5...

Aaargh! I know, its been soooo long since we've seen each other, and the dancing here is non-existant as you can imagine. I miss THAT part of Toronto muchly. But we'll set a date, and I'll be down there getting my groove on ;) In the meantime, we must keep in touch!!
