For New Year's, I was housesitting. I was alone in the house, save for the cat. I put on the fancy black dress - complete with gloves - that I had purchased for $25 at Value Village in Victoria just days before. I turned off the lights in the family room. I put on some loud music. I danced in my fancy dress. Then I went upstairs and ate a big bowl of Oreo Ice Cream. Then I watched some of my favourite scenes from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Then...at less than a minute before midnight, I went to the bathroom and I went pee. Thus marks another celebration of a three-year tradition for myself: peeing during the countdown.
thankssss! I hope yours is filled with only excellence and awesomeness.
That sounds like a pretty nice new years. I especially enjoy how you dressed up fancy and danced instead of moping which is an option many people would have selected had they been in a similar scenario. WELL PLAYED. Sometimes i dress up and dance around in my room. It is better now that we have hardwood floors because some very stylish and/or extravagant moves can be executed.
Also there is a coat at the value village in langley that reminded me of you. I think it is probably very similar to the one you were wearing last time i saw you (which was long ago), with fur around the collar and cuffs? This one was a navy-turquoise. It was 4 dollars. And it was a gem.
Did you have a job in radio yet? You should send a resume to Mike Whittingham at CHUM and tell him you know me and that you would like to be considered for an operator position.
what field are you wanting to get in to? Anyways, I'm here at work and bored and reading people's blog and I thought I'd drop you a line to let you know I'm willing to help out if you wanted to get your foot in the door.
We don't have a heck of a lot of op-ing work available now that Christmas is over but we have such a high turnover rate that it probably won't be long before you get a call. Also, as spring approaches, you could most definitely get a job in promotions working the remotes. They pay better than op-ing too.
Dear Ash, Thaaaaaaank you, thank you, thank you. So much. I was thinking about getting in touch with you just the other day. I don't have a radio job yet, I just started second semester, I didn't think I would be able to get one yet. (?) I am just starting to look at interning possibilities for the spring/summer. I'd be really happy to get any experiance anywhere, but I was really hoping to get something like working remotes.
I am more interested in production and promotions that announcing or anything else. For now at least. Theres a lot of production competition in my class though, everyone is into that. (nervous)
Thank you so much for offering to help out. I really, really, really appreciate it. So much that I can hardly express it.
I will definitely send a resume over to Mike Whittingham. Thanks again.
