Having finished my work for the day, I've spent the last hour or so satisfying an itch of curiosity.

I like QI. I like that it ... celebrates knowledge and wit

It used to. Now it seems more to celebrate Alan Davies telling knob gags. Not that there's anything wrong with a good knob gag, but it's becoming a bit over-run with them these days.

But, to your general point of course, YES!

interesting stats! i see the 'good telly' point but yeah, why would that NOT be served by increasing female participation?

I'm not sure about the current series, but there was an obvious effort to have more women on in the previous series. Although often it can seem that they're more concerned with getting Australian comics on (because it's such a big hit in Australia) than women.

Aaah, canny thinking. Though, Minchin aside, there's only been 3 Aussies on in the last 2 series. (I can prove anything with facts/Wikipedia.)

Good work! Really interesting to see the results of what you were talking about earlier! I suggest you tweet our dear Stephen I'm sure he'll have something delightful to say about it.

I en't doing that. Happy to be armed with stats if I ever get to talk to the production lot.

Their booking policy does seem to be getting better.

The second all-girl episode (of two, of ever) is on next week. Hoping it is done with zero fuss. As with all 65 of the all-boy ones.
