I’m so tired but I guess that’s what you get when you come in at 7am -lol- I guess I’d better start at the beginning!

I went shopping with Harriet yesterday as we decided to go out and of course we needed something new to wear J We went to a shopping centre on the other side of town from where I am, closer to where Harriet lives. It was really good actually and we both got ourselves some good bargains! I got some suede ankle boots for €20 (around £12), I was really pleased at finding them because I’d been looking for some cheap boots for a while. When I get some more money, I think I’m going to go back and get one of the others colours. We also found what we’d called the German equivalent to TopShop which was good! They had some really nice clothes but all I bought was a black and grey striped top in the sale and a tee. I saw the most so ugly they are actually nice shoes in one shop. They were like the shoe/boots that seem to be everywhere at the moment, I wanted them so bad but €85 was quite a lot! Harriet saw a pair of boots in the same shop but again they were slightly expensive so we’ve decided that we will go back and get them when we’ve been paid!

I left Harriet at around 4:30pm to get ready. However, whereas she went home, I did more shopping! I found some more great shops but didn’t have the time or the energy to investigate them properly. I only bought some make-up from H&M. I thought I would be clever in getting back to Othmarschen and get the tube to Altona and then get a bus from Altona to Othmarschen as the bus literally stops right outside my house. I didn’t save any time at all, the bus took ages to come and then it took ages to get back so I knew already that I was late in going back out to meet them.

I got ready in super quick time though, it’s a routine I’ve perfected over the past two years at university. After I’d gotten ready though, I couldn’t be bothered to walk to the station to get the S-Bahn so I got the bus again and then train from Altona to the main train station. I was supposed to meet Harriet and Huw in Sternschanzen at 8pm-8:30pm but I was running that late that I told them to meet in the centre and instead get food there!

We finally settled on an Italian place and all pretty much ordered the same thing each -lol- I had tortellini with ham, mushrooms and cheese and it was gorgeous. The conversation in the restaurant was quite heavy; we were talking about things like immigration, whether or not we should have the death penalty and the BNP. We also talked about the Royal family and the issue of when Prince Harry wore that Hitler costume. Our basic opinion was that it was blown out of proportion and that the press made a bigger deal of it than necessary. Huw being Huw though, shouted, “Yeah if he wanted to wear a Nazi costume, let him!” being sarcastic. We totally forgot where we were though and it was quite embarrassing, luckily I don’t think anyone heard! It was hilarious for me and Harriet though to see his face when he’d realised what he’d said!

After the restaurant we went to Jungfernstieg to see some of the Chinese festival but it had finished by the time we’d gotten there, so instead we went the Alster Pavilion, a small café/bar and had a drink there. I had a sex on the beach which was gorgeous. Poor old Harriet wasn’t as lucky though, she ordered a random cocktail and it was absolutely disgusting. It was really bitter and lemony.

We were going to meet up with everyone else after leaving there. However, when Huw phoned them to see where they were, they were going home! So instead we just headed down to the Reeperbahn. In the first bar we went into, I bought me and Harriet a bottle of Becks each and paid with a €20 note and the dopey girl behind the counter gave me change for a €50 instead! I was well chuffed! We hurried ourselves outside as soon as possible! The next place we went to was a karaoke place! That was pretty funny; it was a mix of both German and English songs and the people were a mixture of bad and good! The host though, was a big, camp guy dressed in a reindeer suit. I guess German humour is very different to English humour because we just didn’t fin him funny at all, in fact we found him quite annoying.

The rest of the night was spent jumping from one place to another, staying for one drink and then moving on. We tried finding a club but found none that appealed to us. We did randomly go into an amusements arcade for a little while, Harriet and I played air hockey but she won!

In one of the last places we went to, we order this huge like pipe thing. I think it had fruity tobacco in it but I don’t really remember though. It was a huge tower with four pipes coming off it which each person puts to their mouth like oxygen masks and breathe it in. We didn’t get in the end though because they’d run out of one of the ingredients they needed. Two random guys started talking to us in this bar. They were really creepy, one of them kept on trying to play footsy under the table with me and trying to look up my skirt. They were insistent that we stay for a drink with them and when we said we were going home, offered to come with us. Urgh - I hate guys like that who just won’t give up and keep on going. I told them so many times I had a boyfriend but they didn’t want to know. I’m glad Huw was with us too to act as our body guard.

Harriet’s mentor had told her that after a big night out at the weekend, you’re supposed to go for breakfast at the fish market which opens at 5am. So we decided to do that except when we finally got there it was closed. It’s open Sunday morning and not Saturday morning! It was a big wasted trip; we were all absolutely knackered and couldn’t be bothered to walk down to the nearest train station so got a taxi back to the central station. We told the taxi driver to be quick too, so he started driving off before I’d even managed to shut the door almost running over my foot. He definitely took the long way round to get more money out of us.

We were starving so ended up in McDonalds where we ate breakfast at 6:15am, before each of us got our respective tubes home. It was quite weird, the first people were getting up to go to work and I was just getting into bed! I managed to wake the whole house up when I came in too because the dog spotted me and started barking really loud. I felt so bad but I guess it could’ve been worse if I’d done it at 4am!

Like I said at the beginning of this entry, I’m so tired now! I haven’t done much, just pottered about the house tried to recover from last night. I’m hungover but not in a poorly kind of way, in a tired, thirsty, horrible taste in mouth way. I don’t think I’m doing anything tonight, I spoke to Harriet early this morning and she didn’t mention anything but we’ll see.

In other news, it was 2 years yesterday since Andrew and I first kissed and unofficially started seeing each other! I still remember it like it was yesterday and can’t believe how fast two years have flown by. I’m gutted to be missing Fresher’s week this year, it’s so much fun!

Days until this is over with: 166
Days until I see Andy: 4
