My puppy got spayed today and she is not happy about it at all. She's also seriously zonked on the pain medication they gave her. I feel like the meanest dog mom ever :( also am exhausted cause worried about her all day etc.
It's hard- but you did the right thing! It extends her life in the long run. <3 (and no periods, lucky girl!) When Junebug got fixed she tried to run around and play right after- we had to keep her separated so she wouldn't pull out her stitches.
She is out, i had her with me for a while and i just put her in her kennel thing and she was sitting up and so zonked that her head just slooooowly dropped til she was lying down. And yeah, I'm keeping her in the kennel mostly so she or the other dogs don't get too rambunctious when she starts feeling better.
I just feel so bad for her, we have steps coming up the front of the house, and i tried to pick her up to help her and she cried. :( I know it's the right thing in the long run and she's at a good age for it etc, but I hate to see her hurting. Animals are so at the mercy of we humans :(
Yes, I had some ice cubes that were mostly melted in a cup so it was like cracked ice kinda and she licked a couple of those. But she's just too out of it right now to do anything.
