If you recall my post from yesterday, I battled to stale(popcorn)mate with my microwave.

After some digging, we found out this model has had manual bulletin updates from years ago and should have been serviced long ago ( Read more... )

Icky! I'd be watching that thing for the rest of my life. o_O Maybe the owner would be willing to replace it if you tell him/her about the Setting Things On Fire Due to Defect issue? Surely they don't want their house to burn.

I *wish* they'd replace things that don't work. Not unless we want to pick it out, buy it, have it put in, take it out of the rent, and we don't even know how long we'll be here. Ugh. We have a backup, so we'd not be out one if it died. I'm sure they'd be glad to hear that. *sigh*
