Quoth My Friend, "Evermore."

Ah. Here we are after a significant absence. My good old trusty diary/public billboard of emotions. And, as usual, I have been driven to write about this situation out of necessity; er…Daniel’s not answering his phone. So now I turn to you, O Mighty Internet ( Read more... )

I'm glad to hear that everything is going so well. :) What's funny, is throughout the whole thing, I was like, "This girl has a crush on him!" and apparently you had no idea...? lol It was interesting to read everything that's been going on for you and to see how much you are still the same... but at the same time, very different (in a good way). Hopefully I can catch you online sometime, because I'd really like to hear about your discovery of God, as I'm on a similar journey in my life right now. And I never thought I'd hear that phrase come out of your mouth/fingers. lol So anyway, yes, you can do a lot better than Kroger's. I'm glad you realized/remembered it's a means to an end. :) And I think you could do very well as a journalist. I've always loved reading your writing ( ... )

It's good to hear from you, too. I don't really use LJ very much. It's just kinda...sitting there. Not doing anything. So I don't write much. But it's always a pleasure.

And yes, the whole self-discovery with Christianity was pretty crazy. For me, anyway. For others it was just a boring drive home in the car. lol

And I don't expect her to be "the one," but I do know that she is at least a very important aspect of my life at this moment.

I was glad to see this from you. Very, very glad. Despite that you do a pretty spectacular job of brushing me off with one-line responses, no follow-up questions, and nothing to ever say, I want to write that I was really happy to read this from you. And I don't really give a shit if you don't want to hear it from me ( ... )

I don't think you should look back on your time in high school, Christian. Nor in your time in high school in Georgia. I think you accomplished a great deal, and have an incredible amount to be proud of. But after you left high school, Christian, is what I was referring to. Mostly because when I do read about things you are doing, I can't figure out what happened. I don't think you going to Georgia is why - I think a lot of great things have happened to you there, and maybe things that couldn't have happened had you stayed in Florida. But at the same time, I think when you left, you and I took very, very different paths. Paths that don't cross? I don't think so. But obviously, you do ( ... )

I know we've talked maybe once, ever, but I feel I should definitely encourage you about getting into journalism. This entry was an extremely compelling read. It's clear you have a sense of story, and timing, etc that even the best writers sometimes completely lose when they try to transcribe true events. But a good journalist needs to be able to convey the facts in a way that is interesting, and you have definitely done so. I felt as if I were there watching it. And, I actually laughed at the Lafonda thing. I rarely laugh while reading, but your description was really perfectly distilled humor... you have really captured so much with this LJ entry that I can already see you have a gift for writing. I do think the world would have a place for another man seeking the truth, as you put it, especially one who can so well translate his own thoughts and experiences into - and I'll use that word again, compelling - words ( ... )

Thank you very much, Christie. Your words are definitely uplifting in the heart of such an ambiguous world. I absolutely love writing. It's something I could never get away from. I have so many thoughts running through my mind all the time that it's hard to pin one down long enough to write about. And journalism may be the answer.

Thank you for your compliments. They are a great encouragement for me, another sign that I am indeed on the correct path. And this epiphany will not fade into silence; it's been years since I've felt this passionate about my future. I know God will guide me.
