on a side note, I can never make those sushi outings bc I started working thursday nights : (

Someday I'll figure out a way to handle the Thursday problem, maybe just doing an extra meetup on a Sunday afternoon or something crazy like that. I don't want to move the meetup from Thursday given that there are people who have to request the day off from work six months in advance.

Ironically, this month will be only the 4th time the meetup has ever been moved: twice for conflicts with Jewish holidays, once for a snowstorm, and this time for conflict with Valentine's Day. Regardless of any other issues, reserving a table for a large party in any restaurant on Valentine's Day just seemed like a bad idea.
